As the most feared of all Government bodies, I was the unlucky person who fell victim to their wrath,
albeit unintentionally. Owing to a few questionable decisions, I wasn’t going to be able to make my
income taxes. However, this wasn’t the first time this was happening.
Over the past couple of years, my quality of life had gone on a steady decline, much like my job
opportunities. My inability to pay my bills, let alone my taxes, landed me in hot water with the IRS again
Mainly because they didn’t fit the stereotypes in the movies, I wasn’t particularly intimidated with them
until it became apparent that the IRS was running out of patience and paperwork tosend to meand sent
me a summons. While I was terrified, it didn’t mean that thingswere overfor me.
Luckily, before I lost the fight entirely, I decided to take a friend’s advice and get some professional
Exploring my options, I chose to settle on Montgomery & Wetenkamp, a law firm of some repute. They
had a lot of glowing reviews and testimonials. It was the initial meeting with John Wetenkamp, himself,
which settled the fact that I knew I was working with a great firm. They were invested in helping me
from the start and worked tirelessly to help, get my debt settled, which was enormous to be exact, with
an offer in compromise.
From the first meeting, John Wetenkamp was articulate about laying down the plan. The team working
with me kept me in the loop and mapped each step of the way to keep track of everything. Despite all
odds, they didn’t stop until they had won a settlement which was affordable for me, in light of my
current financial status.
I literally felt like I had won a lottery since it felt like a huge pressure was now off my back. Not only do I
get to finally move on with my life, I get to do it without the IRS breathing down my neck. There services
are so amazing; I would highly recommend them to anyone going through the same situation.

IRS declared our business a hobby and said we owed over $100,000 plus fines etc. We had been trying on our own for 4 years to prove to them that we had a legitimate business but to no avail. Didn't know where to turn so looked on internet for specialized attorneys for tax audits etc. The other reviews for Mr Wetenkamp were very positive so we contacted him. He was very prompt and very clear about what he could do. He looked at our case and said it looked promising so we hired him. After he thoroughly looked through all our documentation and asked for items we hadn't thought of he wrote a letter to the IRS appeals office that was concise and even cited prior IRS cases similar to ours that help prove our case. In his letter he also worded it so that it looked stupid to think that our business was a hobby, but did not call the IRS stupid. One thing that a person has to understand about the IRS audit and appeal process is that the IRS moves at a snail's pace. All this took over a year but that was due to the slowness of the IRS. My husband would get antsy why we hadn't heard anything from the IRS, Mr Wetenkamp kept us calm and would call the IRS agent to find out our status. Mr Wetenkamp sometimes would NOT call the IRS because he's found that is you bother them too much they might become negative to one's case, this kept my antsy husband satisfied. A few weeks ago we received an official letter from the IRS to end to our appeal, we WON. Our business will no longer be considered a hobby and we owe the IRS not one single cent. If we hadn't hired Mr Wetenkamp I'm sure we'd be in dire straits right now. My advice - don't take on the IRS by yourself, and hire an attorney who has years of experience dealing with audits, appeals etc. The IRS will try to scare you, I'll always remember the day we received a SUMMONS from the IRS in the mail, I was mortified, at the time our accountant calmed me down and then made the statement a few months later "I think you need to hire an attorney". We thank Mr John Wetenkamp for his prompt, accurate service, dealing with our sometimes frantic phone calls (he always calmed us down) and great customer service. He was worth every cent and we would not hesitate to hire him again if the need arises.

John Wetenkamp impressed us big time. He was right on top of the IRS keeping everything moving towards a fantastic settlement for us. He represented us and we never had to talk to the IRS. He kept them from worrying us from the minute we retained his services. I would recommend this attorney to everyone. He charged a fair fee and no more than that.... no hidden charges.

After trying to resolve my Tax debt for many years to no avail I found Montgomery & Wetenkamp.
My debt had escalated to over $80, 000.00.
Within 10 months they negotiated with the IRS on my behalf and it was settled for $955.00.
Yes that's right.A little over 1% of the debt.
Give them a call and let their lawfirm do the rest.
Thank you just doesn't seem like enough.

My husband and I owed the IRS back taxes for multiple years, after the economy crashed in 2008 things got worst. We started receiving letters from the IRS threatening to garnish our wages and bank accounts. We felt at a disadvange facing the IRS alone; we were up-against a nightmare. But one morning while getting ready for work, I heard on the radio an infomercial addressing the" bag of tricks" the IRS uses to intimidate, so I wrote the number down and called. The process was simple and smooth. We met in their office once and brought the paperwork required, after our first meeting communication was by e-mail that made it easy; no need to take time off from work to meet again, that was a big plus for us. Mr. Wetenkamp's fees were resonable, and he worked with us on affordable monthly payments. Our experience with his firm was excellent!! he did it all and kept us updated. Finally, our case was settled. The objective was to pay the IRS the money we owed, in affordable monthly payments, and we got it. Extremely pleased with results.
Thank you Mr. Wetenkamp.

John Adam Wetenkamp was kind, understanding, and helpful since the beginning of our case. He helped us with an IRS Installment Agreement. He gave us options on how he would be able to help us and told us which option was best . He also explained every option with every detail and answered all of our questions. When hired, he still responded asap to our email and cleared out some information that we were doubting on. Wetenkamp made it easy on us and took our stress away. The IRS Installment Agreement that he made was better then we had thought. I would and will recommend John Adam Wetenkamp to anyone with the need of an IRS Installment Agreement.

Big Brother IRS was coming after me pretty hard for taxes I couldn't pay; going so far as going after my ex as well as putting a lien against my bank account. I went to John & Christian in hopes of filing an Offer in Compromise. They instead suggested and succeeded in getting Big Brother to put my account in Hardship Status; despite numerous complications, including the aforementioned EX's counter complaint. Thank you for everything John & Christian!
