Nafiz M Ahmed

My family consulted Nafiz for a felony case in Palo Alto court. He was very aggressive in stating he would fight the case but as soon as he was paid, did absolutely no work besides a weakly defended motion to lower bail. He was retained for $10,000 and made no effort to fight speedily or justly; ...made no subpoenas and no interviews. When we tried to fire him, he insisted wanting to get a deal and stated he would take us to trial for free. After we asked him to do work, he backed out and stated he wouldn't go to trial and wanted to "settle." Instead of doing work himself, he forced my sister to get several documents from two states which weren't useful at all. My sister even brought several character documents which he didn't use to try and fight the case; as stated by current attorney. We fired him after Nafiz begin ignoring our calls and acting rude. He threatened to use the PD as witness if we took him to arbitration. After 4+ months of working with Nafiz, we made a mistake in trusting him to defend me. He even went into a preliminary hearing without preparing with the client and against our wishes. Nafiz never followed up or tried to see where the case was until I saw him in court 3 months later. Overall, he cares more about money than defending his client. Self-stated by Nafiz, he has 70+ cases and in my opinion, it makes it extremely difficult to give full time and attention to that many cases. To this day, I'm still fighting my case and have to spend even more on another attorney. In consulting with others, It has been said that he does not have as much experience to fight serious cases. It is also generally better, based on public info, to hire an attorney on an hourly fee basis rather than a flat fee.; this is purely a suggestion. Nafiz, I'm sure you'll read this review. We trusted you to help and give your attention to our case but speaking from our experience, you let our family down and left us broke without offering a solution.

I hired Nafiz to take care of a petition for factual innocence after a previous attorney had the case dismissed before trial. We met Nafiz in his office and he patiently listened to our story. At our second meeting, Nafiz took the phone in front of me, called the district attorney to discuss the case.... He was very outspoken and confident. This started an email thread that ended up with the district attorney agreeing with the factual innocence finding. Nafiz was also very quick at filing with the court a very convincing and complete petition for factual innocence. The day of the factual innocence hearing arrived with the DA themselves suggesting factual innocence to the judge. This was executed so well by Nafiz. Only his dedication to the case and his extrovert personality and high confidence could end up with such a result. Nafiz is a winner! Thank you so much for being so good!

Brilliant is the best way to describe this Guy. This is not the first time that Nafiz help me with a traffic violation and each time he does it , he always surprise me with the results. Now in days is very difficult to find some body that is reliable and some body you can trust and most inportant so...me one that you know will handle business in a professional way. I was shopping for a lawyer after my DV arrest. I searched endlessly online and by luck I saw Nafiz Ahmed’s website. I read his profile and was impressed by his achievements and biography. He was a local bay area, Californian who was a part of the JV and Varsity football team and was also the capt...ain of the Varsity wrestling team in Burlingame High School. He then went on to UC Davis and Santa Clara University to pursue his law credentials where he achieved many other accomplishments. Even though he was young, I took a chance due to his proven track record and great background. I was very well impressed when meeting him in person. He was genuinely concerned with my case and listened to my whole issue during the initial consultation. He never spoke anything about his costs and payment until I brought it up with him, which I felt was very polite and the opposite of what I got from other attorneys I interviewed. He let me pay for his services on my own financial conditions and throughout my case never mentioned anything about payment. Nafiz is very aggressive in fighting for what you want and doesn’t settle for anything less if possible. He actually cares, and isn’t just another sleeze ball attorney collecting a check. He brought my DV charges down to a public disturbance misdemeanor whereas most defendants get a DV dropped to battery charges. (Important if you own or plan to handle firearms). I recommend Nafiz as he is passionate about his work, and is very professional. I couldn’t have asked for a better attorney, and he has completely changed my mind about my prejudice toward lawyers aka “liars” hahaha.
