Unprofessional attorney

Concerned Witness to Unprofessional Conduct by Attorney Norah Aliyami #297126 I am writing this review as a witness to the handling of Unknowns divorce and custody case, where Norah Aliyami represented the client. I feel compelled to share my observations due to the serious concerns I have regardi...ng her conduct. Throughout the case, it became clear that Ms. Aliyami did not act in the best interest of her client. Despite knowing the financial struggles of the client, a single mother of children, Ms. Aliyami continued to overcharge and make demands for additional payments, showing little regard for the client’s difficult situation. Most troubling was her sudden abandonment of the case just days before trial, which left the client unprepared, vulnerable, and in a very difficult position when it came to the custody of her children. This left the client with little time to find another attorney and compromised the legal strategy at a critical moment. As a witness, it appeared that Ms. Aliyami’s actions were not only unprofessional but seemed to undermine the client’s case, potentially working more in favor of the opposing party than her own client. Her behavior had serious emotional and legal repercussions for the client and their family. I strongly urge others to be cautious when considering this attorney and would advise against relying on her services.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
