Career saving effort!

3 years ago, I found myself at the bottom. Locked in a cell; away from my wife and kids, inexplicably absent from work, and staring at my life in ruins. I had made the horrific mistake of drinking and driving. To make matters worse, my foolish act impacted another person because they were injured in ...an accident. For the unaware, that means not only was it a DUI, it was a felony DUI that exposed me to nearly a decade in state prison. Despite all of the raw emotion and strain, I knew I had to have the best legal representation available. That was not up for negotiation. My network is vast, and has many lawyers in it. Even still the recommendation was to go with one that I didn’t know; Lynn Gorelick. Lynn had returned from vacation and was immediately thrust into my case, which was (in my eyes) a loser. She could’ve easily passed and went to something less stressful, but she accepted my case. From the moment we met, Lynn displayed that she was in FULL control. She understood my position, my options, and, more importantly, what I was feeling. She held no punches, but communicated facts in a very measured manner. When it was time for me to produce evidence or some documentation, she was firm and made me comprehend the role I played in making this go as best it could. The whole process took nearly 1000 days, seriously, and Lynn was as concerned and involved in my case on the last day as she was the first. In the end, Lynn and I had great success because she took the time and effort to understand who I was and represent that instead of my mistakes. In the end, I received what I thought was an absolutely unattainable outcome, given the circumstances. I spent years googling “Felony DUI case outcomes” and none of them concluded as successfully as mine.  I FULLY recommend Lynn Gorelick if you find yourself in a compromising situation. Plenty of people can stand up and represent you in court, but none with the purposeful intent that you will get from Lynn. Do yourself a real favor and call her if you’re in trouble.

When in trouble, call Gorelick

Ms. Gorelick is experienced (FYI, her father was a DUI lawyer too!), competent, respected, and most importantly, selfless. During our initial phone call, first thing she said after hearing about my ridiculous night - "Do not hire an attorney." She went on to explain exactly how the case will be thr...own out and it happened exactly how she predicted. I was still nervous and skeptical naturally, so I retained her immediately (As Other lawyers wanted to go to court and charge me high fees in the name of "profit" and "greed"). I paid her the minimum fee to monitor the case even though she repeatedly told me that I do not need an attorney for my case. DMV case was thrown out immediately. Speaking of DMV, you know Lynn is the best when the DMV agent says that Gorelick is the best, objective, and an exceptional negotiator. Court case was thrown out as well few months after expected. Throughout the process, I annoyed the heck out of Ms. Gorelick, I even got angry at the system, but she was patient with me. I will point out that Ms. Gorelick is very calm and objective. So, yes, at times, it may appear that she is not energetic but I believe that's just the wisdom she has gained working with her father for a long time and then becoming a lawyer herself. She has seen millions of such DUI cases and other worse criminal cases - So I can see why she can be so calm. That said, her calmness is her strength, not her weakness. Thank you for giving me support through this process and saving my professional license and career. I had too much to lose. However, in a way, I'm glad that incident occurred, because I am re-evaluating, resetting, and implementing my priorities in life. "All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles, have strengthened me... You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you." Thank you, Ms. Gorelick.

A great law firm.

I believe Attorney Lynn Gorelick resolved my DUI case in a manner most pragmatic given the circumstances. She collaborated with the DA to help minimize the potential damage I could have experienced, advised me as warranted, and kept me informed throughout the process upon demand. Lynn is calm, professional, experienced, confident, and positive!

I received my first (and last!) DUI while driving home after 2 glasses of wine. I was arrested for the first time in my life, spent the night in a country jail, and missed the next day of teaching in my 4th grade classroom.... as a 'no show'. I was not only completely embarrassed by the whole experi...ence, but disoriented, confused, shocked, and traumatized. I received a plethora of brochures and advertisements for DUI lawyers to help me fight my case in court and DMV hearing. I didn’t even think I needed or wanted a lawyer, and that this whole thing shouldn’t have happened. I called many lawyers, had phone consultations, and thoroughly read all of their materials. Many of the lawyers were knowledgable, but sounded like they were repeating jargon and insisting I hire them as a lawyer to fight my case through court and the DMV hearing. Most were aggressive and affordable. This is what I thought I wanted.... but felt uneasy. I then found Lynn Gorelick who was like a breath of fresh air. She was much more expensive then the rest, but was honest, transparent, and advised me well. She patiently coached me through defending myself in court, because the case was most likely going to be dropped due to its low BAC%. Indeed it was. At that point, I felt like Lynn was trustworthy and had my best interest; as well as her time, in mind - not money. However, the fight was not over. I still had the DMV hearing creeping up. My BAC% came back over the .08% limit and I was destined to lose my license. I then hired Lynn to defend me during my DMV hearing process, which lasted nearly 6 months. The moment I made this decision, I knew it was the right choice! Lynn and her assistants kept me informed, diligently took over my case, followed through with hearing procedures, and simply took the reins from there. Lynn and her staff are all calm, professional, experienced, confident, and positive! The money was WELL worth spent! I got my license back and I never had to appear at a hearing. She is DEFINITELY the lawyer you want to go with if you want peace after a DUI arrest.
