Not a good experience

After a consult we hired Laurie. We were going through a custody battle for my son and the whole family law process was new to us. She told us that we were in good hands and that she would file a response to get things going. One of many issues we had with Laurie is that she caused many postponements... in our case because she took days getting back to us and she was not prepared. These delays cost us alot of money and wasted time. She missed out on many key opportunitys in front of the judge to mention important items we had all discussed. We received a astronomical bill each week from Laurie with fees for items that were never explained to us by her or her staff. She threatened to sub out of being our attorney at the most crucial times unless our bill was paid. This was a very emotional time for us and we feel like she never put in the time or attention into our case that we were hoping for.

I don't know who wrote this: clearly not my client, but an opposing party. I have not causes any postponements and I get back to all of my clients by the end of each day or have a staff member contact them. Some days I don't leave my office until 8:30 at night to make sure I do. I am always prepared, and I have never had a complaint from any of my clients about being prepared. I also have never billed anyone one on a weekly basis. I can only suspect this is coming from someone who is unhappy about the results I obtained for one of my client''s to "their" disappointment whomever "we" are purported to be.
