Dayn Anthony Holstrom

I was going through a divorce and has spoken to several different lawyers in the area, it was a daunting task until I found Dayn! The staff at his office were so amazing. They genuinely cared about me and my case. I always felt informed and part of the process. I would recommend him to anyone and eve...ryone who wants someone to fight for them and win!

I have used Dayn on two separate occasions; once for my divorce and then a few years later for my child support modification. Dayn was always very up front and honest with me. At all time he prepared me for the what could happen versuses what I wanted to hear. My paralegal, Leigh Bernstein, worked... very hard for me as well. Both of them worked with my schedule and even met me after hours due my busy work schedule. Dayn was worth every dollar that I spent on him and his office. Dayn fought aggressively for me every step of the way.

I had read Dayn's reviews and based on the reviews I decided to contact him, as my attorney's at the time (reputable big firm in Newport Beach) were doing nothing and I couldn't keep putting up $25k retainers; and had already spent over $130k with that particular firm. Since I was being bled dry and... never got anywhere beyond a temp. stipulation, I started seeking out other attorneys as respondent was not following the temp. stipulation and I needed someone to take action and it wasn't happening. As mentioned, I spoke with Dayn on the phone; and in our extensive phone conversation I decided to meet with him personally at his office and retain him. He seemed to be what I was looking for in an attorney, He seemed knowledgeable and aggressive. Upon my arrival at their Irvine office, I was put into the conference room and Dayn and Carrie Block walked in. I didn't think anything about it at first, as I know there are always attorney's who help out with each case...and my case was complex dealing with properties, custody, as well as breach of fiduciary duty, along with non-compliance of the temporary stip and order, etc. At the end of our meeting Dayn slyly said that Carrie is a very good and knowledgeable family court attorney and she will be taking on your case. and I am in good hands. When he said that...I was not happy, to say the least. Why wouldn't he tell me this in our phone conversation? Again, I contacted Dayn, not Carrie. SMH Ok...fine, I thought I will TRUST him. Big mistake...I should've walked out when that happened. Once again...spent over $32k and not once got into court. Needless to say....I had to find another attorney. Not happy at all and do not recommend.

I was prompted to write this review after seeing this former attorney advertize on this site .Be careful,Dayn is a very talented attorney but he is focused at simply collecting fees and replenishing his retainer like no other. My case went on for years with no progress. I spent over $30,000 to only ...achieve a child support agreement. These amounts are arrived at by a software program that calculates it, this should not be so complicated he drags things out because he only moves if he is pushed. My ex-spouse had spent 1/3 in legal fees as compared to me.I questioned DAYN as to why im paying so much and he said"well we just capture all our hours,we run a different business model" He is unresponsive and passes things on to his paralegal who he is very rude to.Also my spouse had switched attorneys and both of her attorneys had sent complaints of Dayn not returning phone calls and lack of professional follow -up. I always felt lost and rushed on the few occasions I was able to speak to him.I never felt he was connected to my case and the complaint from other attorneys proved it. I able to endorse my new attorney and I wish I could .What a difference when you find someone who is professional and cares. We are all in pain and our judgement is affected by our emotions, and sometimes we need guidance and someone to support us and guide us and help us also to be reasonable, DAYN is not that guy. I feel bad for anyone reading this because there is no good divorce. I hope you dont waste 3 years of your life as I did. I dont wish him bad I guess this is my way of speaking up about a situation I felt I was taken advantage of. Be aware thats all. Also I find it odd that alot of his great reviews come from employees and former lawyers and colleagues. Seems like a good marketing plan to enhance an image of an uncaring,unprofessional attorney.
