A terrible attorney
She made a lot of mistakes while charge a high price (she charge us by mins). Our case had a major delay because she did not know how to uploaded documents to CEAC. She told us that is the NVC ' fault that the case was stuck. She did not updated with current immigration law and has no knowledge about...
Amanda has been a long-time client. We worked well together getting her mother's green card, for which I charged a reasonable flat rate. She was very happy with the result. With her father abroad, I charged a reasonable flat rate. We filed the I-130 on 1/22/19. We filed the NVC DS-260, civil and financial documents on January 4, 2020. He went to his interview on May 20, 2021. We were successful obtaining an interview for him at the American Consulate in a reasonable period of time during Covid-19. Unfortunately, the consulate wanted her to get a joint sponsor, which I had advised her to get at the NVC stage but she refused. She then hired me for a third time to prepare the joint sponsor documents and the joint sponsor's declaration for which I charged a reasonable flat rate and even gave her a discount for being a long-time client. At this stage, Amanda was extremely demanding. Although the National Visa Center gave us a year to respond and I was working on a merits hearing deadline in deportation proceeding, I was happy to take care of her right away. She hired me on May 21, 2021 and I completed the service on June 10, 2021. After the service was completed, she then called and emailed multiple times a day requesting additional services for the fee she paid that were beyond the scope of the representation. We did not run into any delay issues with her father's case so I am unsure why she says the case was stuck. I am a certified specialist in Immigration & Nationality Law and I do 40 hours of continuing legal education every 3 years. I have Westlaw electronic library and use Westlaw to do my research. I belong to the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Orange County Bar Association (2 sections) and keep myself abreast of all the changes daily. I'm not sure what she means about "no knowledge about online processing" because I use online processing consistently and there have been no issues with her father's case in that regard or any other case. I understand that these are stressful times. I wish Amanda and her family well.
