Thomas Edward Welbourn

I was referred to Ed Welbourn by my brother. Ed had helped my brother in his case several year prior in a case in which Ed was able to get the charges against him dismissed and also secured a settlement within my brother's favor. After hearing about Ed and his experience, I knew he was the right guy ...and the only guy I would consider to represent me in my case. With his experience as a former DA for Orange County, the county of my case, Ed understood the processes and procedures better than anyone. This worked in my favor because I got the best advice and representation from a person that knew both sides. To be clear, this is not a paid or solicited review and I only hope a genuine review like this helps when you are deciding who to call/hire if something (like my situation) ever blind-sides you or your family. If you are anything like me, I've never needed an attorney for a matter that truly shock...ed/scared me. But when you do, it's hard to sort out which way is up and where to turn... especially on short-notice. Luckily, I was referred to Ed for a situation that required quick (thoughtful) action to avoid a problem from snowballing. Ed returned my calls fast (normally less than 1 hour max, even in the evenings) and was able to navigate a very tricky situation gracefully to help me get it handled successfully. Atty Welbourn was able to get my DUI (1.5 BAC) and second offense reduced to a Wet Wreckless in Criminal Court. More importantly, he created a comprehensive record that eventually facilitated a finding in my favor of a Violation of my 4th Amendment rights (Unlawful Stop by police) in the form of a W...rit against the Department of Motor Vehicles and reinstatement of my Drivers License by a Superior Court Judge where the Judge acknowledged Atty Welbourn's handling of the case at the DMV hearing and the record that was created that led to a favorable outcome for me.
