I am a former paralegal who worked in law for 10+ years before I became permanently disabled several years ago. All legal cases are different and after months of trying to deal with my case on my own, I finally realized I was going to get nowhere without help and aid of an attorney and since my heal...th was literally in the balance in the meantime, I was in a bit of a time crunch and had a matter that was very time sensitive. When I started looking for help from attorney’s I started with finding Disability/Healthcare/Medicare attorneys and what I found through yellow pages and attorney searches was that I didn’t seem to warrant any one’s time. The major issue was that no attorney/attorney’s office would spend the time to listen to me long enough to process what I actually needed help with….that came with problems…because if I didn’t fit into their categories or questionnaire questions, then I was told they couldn’t help me. The issue I needed help with was a SSA/MediCAL/healthcare issue, which technically falls under a Social Security Disability/healthcare type issue however, I found there were NO attorney's out there in the SSA or Healthcare/Medicare or even in the general law practices who help with this particular type of situation. I spent hours looking for help online and hours calling and leaving messages and explaining my situations to receptionists/paralegals who usually would allow me to speak more than a few more words in before I was interrupted to tell me that the attorney’s “didn’t do that type of case”. Believe it or not, I am still receiving call backs from attorney’s offices asking if I would still need help with my time sensitive matter- 4 and a half months later (not sure if I would ever want one of these attorneys to work on any case I may have…I’m just saying). Out of the 30+ disability/healthcare attorney’s numbers I called, I never actually spoke to another attorney for longer than 30 seconds. I found Mr. Mubasher on Avvo, I did my general search terms and he came up in a couple different ones…I had almost given up at that point, but I am glad I didn’t. I believe he was one of the last few numbers I made the attempt to call and by the time I left a message for him I was beaten down and had not a lot of hope of finding help. When I had my initial conversation with Mr. Mubasher, I found it was not rushed or hurried along, he listened to me long enough to understand what my issue was. Mr. Mubasher took my information, including my notes and did some of his own research (which in my opinion and experience any attorney that is considering taking and/or is taking on any case should do prior to giving answers one way or another). Once he did some research, he came back and discussed the issues with me and at the point I hired him on, he took on the case and did all that he could to get me the help I needed. Mr. Mubasher never promised me a win or an outcome one way or another, but the fact that he said he would try was more HELP and compassion from ANY attorney out there. I feel that his retainer was more than reasonable for my issue as when I initially spoke to him he listened to me long enough to understand that I had a complicated issue that didn’t really fit into any one category of law one way or another. He was honest and patient with me as I did get upset and worked up with all the frustrations of my situation but he always was understanding and helpful. When I had a question or questions, I was able to call and/or email and get a response within a very reasonable time frame. After the work he did, I was able to get my matter solved. Getting this matter resolved changed everything for me and had it not been for him listening, agreeing and helping get this matter resolved, I really don’t know where I would be. I have happily recommended him to people I know and will continue to do so.

I recommend Nathan as he was one of the few lawyers who listened to my case on the phone for an hour and instead of being judgemental and jumping to the conclusions, he explained to me about the possible outcomes, his experience with similar cases, his plan of action and finally my chances of coming ...out victorious (least damage possible). Since this was the first time ever coming in contact with a legal issue, I was a nervous wreck. I would call Nathan for any worries I had regarding the outcome and he would do his best to be there for me and most of the time he was. Since it was a BRN case, Nathan actively took part in the investigative process and made sure to represent me in a clear light and give my case a face. That helped a great deal because when my case was forwarded to the DA, investigator had put all the mitigating factors in the report that Nathan had requested. Those mitigating factors helped the DA dismiss my one charge and reducing the other one to disturbance of peace, which was a huge victory for me as I will be able to expunge it in a year. My case with the BRN still continues as I am still in the process of getting my license but I strongly believe I have jumped over major hurdles and now what I require is patience and consistently moving forward. Nathan has been there for me from day one and i sitll talk to him to discuss my case even though he isn't my attorney, which proves his dedication to the trait and helping people. We all make mistakes but we must learn from them and pain and suffering it caused not just to ourselves but to our loved ones as well, and then never repeat the same mistakes or similar ones again.
