Nathan Mubasher

I Thank God for Nathan Mubasher. Without him I don't know where my case would have gone. I was facing the Federal Trade Commission and had no clue of what was really happening. I had no knowledge of anything and no guidance. I spoke to over 10 attorneys and to my disappoint none was willing to rea...lly speak with me because I didn't have the financial means they were asking for. I contacted attorney Mubasher regarding an issue I was having with school applications for a Masters program I was pursuing. As a California native who went away for medical school and residency, I was being forced to pay out of state fees when I returned back to California for fellowship training w...ith my new job (meaning a Masters program and low salary for another 2 years prior to making my potential earnings as a doctor). As a new young physician with over $200,000 in school loans already, I was concerned about being able to fund $20,000 per year in order to complete my masters. As much as I tried to get ahold of someone at the admissions office for my Masters, I was being dismissed and given the run around by the staff there, who apparently didn't have time to discuss the details with me. They kept directing me to write a letter to the Chancellors office for an "appeal of the university's decision to classify me as an out of state resident..." A process that takes over 6 months.... They couldn't even provide me a phone number to speak with someone! It was incredibly upsetting because I wasn't receiving the help I needed. I felt as though I should be considered for instate tuition as I never changed my permanent address, bank account, etc, and only went away for school because I had no other choice. I always intended to return home to California. Nathan was very empathetic to my situation, and was very reassuring when we discussed the details of my case. He worked INCREDIBLY hard to collect details and organize files that would win my case, and sure enough he did! He discovered that I qualify for a California Educational bill titled AB-540, which allows native residents of the state of California who completed high school in California, to be considered for in-state tuition at UC and Cal state schools. I pointed this out to the program, and filled out a simple form in the admissions office there after. Even though this is something that their office provides as a service to students, I was shocked that they are unaware of the details of the law, and as I result I kept getting dismissed! This law was initially passed to help immigrant students with higher education, but thanks to Nathan, discovered that it does not exclude US Citizens as well! Several weeks later, my status as an out-of-state resident changed to in-state status, and I saved over $3000 per quarter on my tuition thanks to his help! Unlike other lawyers I have utilized, Nathan Mubasher has a very genuine persona. He really cares about his clients, and is HONEST about potential case outcomes. He is not only incredibly knowledgable about state law in many fields, but there is a real humanistic approach to his work....
