Breach of Duty Through Inadequate Case Management

Once it became apparent that the engagement would not be pursued as a dragged-out lawsuit, her attention to the matter materially deteriorated. She failed to prepare, finalize, and transmit essential documents within any reasonable timeframe, demonstrating a disregard for basic professional responsib...ilities. This breakdown in document production and case administration caused measurable harm and avoidable loss to me. The deficiencies observed were not isolated errors but indicative of an ongoing course of inattentive practice. Her conduct mirrors that of her business partner, with the notable distinction that her partner has previously been subjected to disciplinary proceedings and removal from practice, whereas she has not. This discrepancy appears to arise from the limited scale of the matters she has handled to date, which has constrained the visibility and cumulative impact of the damage caused.

Profiting at the risk of her clients

I am writing to express my concerns regarding the professional conduct of Kathleen Alparce. It is my belief that her actions reflect a serious lack of ethical considerations. Specifically, she appears to impose significant legal and personal risks on her clients, seemingly prioritizing the opportunit...y to increase her billable hours over the welfare of those she represents. Additionally, I find it troubling that she has engaged the services of another attorney who has a documented history of disciplinary actions and disqualifications, raising concerns about the integrity of her practice. This choice suggests a willingness to delegate her professional responsibilities to someone with little regard for maintaining a reputable standing in the legal community. Such decisions ultimately do not reflect well on the legal profession.

Appear to compromise her client’s intersts to advance her own

Her written advocacy and analytical rigor were, at best, underwhelming. However, her street smart shocked me. She nearly succeeded in transforming what should have been a routine, low-stakes demand letter into a full-scale legal dispute by subtly undermining my legal position in correspondence with o...pposing counsel—an issue I did not immediately detect—and by provoking unnecessary hostility on both sides. In doing so, she compromised her client’s position in a manner that appeared to advance her own interests rather than those of the client.

Purposeful Conflict Creation + Fee Amplification

I experienced significant financial harm due to this attorney's practices. Upon reflection, her business model appears to involve two main strategies: Strategy 1: Provoking conflicts to instigate lawsuits, often dragging clients into legal battles involuntarily. In my situation, she managed to... provoke the opposing side without my involvement. Strategy 2: Extending a straightforward, hour-long trial into a drawn-out week-long ordeal, resulting in billable hours that far exceeded her initial estimate—24.5 times more. Additionally, her legal acumen is lacking; her reading and comprehension skills seem to be at a high school level, leading to ineffective courtroom debates. Ultimately, not only did I suffer losses, but I also incurred additional costs for the opposing counsel's fees. This outcome appeared to be of little concern to her.

She is the cheapest lawyer in town but also the most costly.

She has this incredible knack for turning a simple one-hour trial into a drawn-out spectacle that lasts for days. Even if she somehow wins, I end up paying more than the case was worth! The worst part? It’s not just about losing; it’s losing so badly that I also have to cover the other lawyer's fees.... It’s like getting a two-fer on legal headaches
