This Man is Doing Gods Work

Literally. This man is hands down the best attorney I have EVER interacted with. He is so intelligent, that I feel bad that he has to "dumb it down" for us, but thank god for his immense patience. All the points that were made by the 'Anonymous post dated ' Oct 2020' are in total alignment. Without... stumbling upon Ken, I would have been bullied into walking away from a property where I spent tons of $$ fixing repairs and deferred maintenance. I was so pissed off (still am) and frustrated at how a landlord could have literally taken advantage of someone so badly and then try to penalize them with an eviction (the nerve), especially during a pandemic! The landlord im in a lawsuit with, found a non-rent related reason to evict to get around the COVID 19 moratorium and cited ( unauthorized guests, and other BS for reasons) . I cant believe courts allow landlords to waste their time with such frivolous evictions that are really retaliatory against the tenant. Like the anonymous post stated, most of what you learn from Ken is that you're going to be playing a game against a rigged system (everyone from Judges to the court clerks). That was such a crude realization. It makes you see a world of complete injustice. I did also note that you have to be an active player in your lawsuit. If you are passive this wont work. You have to be pro-active, ask questions, watch your case on the court website, retrieve documents, upload documents to Ken and follow up in a diligent process like you're learning a new language. You have to talk to clerks, go to the courthouse, and literally immerse yourself in this process. Id be lying if I said I wasn't confused at times about what documents said, where to look for dates, how his strategy would ultimately work out and what to expect, and for someone that likes to be in control, and know the details before moving forward, there have been times where I have had to just 'let go' and trust that Ken has it.That is difficult thing to do. I don't think that someone who just likes to "set it and forget it' would do well given that this process can consume your time and require you to learn this subject matter very quickly. I have actually appreciated how much Ive learned in the process. It is so refreshing to see how much Ive learned going through this process that I would have never learned with any other attorney helping me. I cant thank this man enough.

Superior Attorney for Tenant-Landlord Law

As many ratings state, Mr. Carlson is a true advocate for the LAW, which empowers tenants to express their rights. I stumbled upon Ken Carlson’s webpage, caltenantlaw.com, while searching for information regarding tenant rights to quiet enjoyment of property. I read several article and advice piece...s on his webpage before finding the COVID-19 Evictions video Mr. Carlson created. It is 40 minutes long, and each minute provides incredible information regarding tenant-landlord law. Within twenty-four hours of watching the video, I contacted Mr. Carlson for his legal services and advice. Speaking with Mr. Carlson is amazing. He listens to your questions and concerns. He helps you see the forest for the trees not the other way around and empowers you to exercise your rights of which you have many. I will likely use Mr. Carlson often both as a tenant and an advisor for when I am a landlord myself. As Mr. Carlson says in the video, there is a right way to be a landlord and a wrong way. All tenants have the right to be treated fairly and to demand landlords adhere to and respect the laws protecting those rights. Thank you, Mr. Carlson for your professionalism and advice! Because of your consultation, I feel confident in demanding my rights be respected by the landlord and to see the threats they may throw as hollow.

The one and ONLY!

Look no further. he is the one and only attorney for tenants! Ken has provided an excellent service and put his superior knowledge of the Tenants Law on the full display. He is a real professional, and he made all legal matters the walk in the park for us. He is exceptional, but you will need to fol...low precisely what he is asking you — nothing more, nothing less.

You get what you pay for

I had a phone consultation ($5/min) and an initial consultation with Ken. I initially purchased the lawsuit kit from his website and was blown away by it, everything was well researched, easy to understand, and helped me get through a small claims case against my landlord. His site has length warning...s about how you must make the most of your time when paying for a phone consultation, how to have your questions prepared, etc. I heeded those warnings and was very prepared for our consult, only to have Ken spend over half the time going over basics I told him I knew (1950.f and other portions of law) and ranting about corrupt landlords, judges, etc. Is he cheaper than other attorneys? Yes. Is his site extremely useful and do I respect his work organizing for tenants rights/being an incredibly advocate? Yes. Would I hire him to represent me in court/pay for any more of his time? No.

Look no further

I'd never needed a lawyer until this past spring. I did a google search and struck gold. Ken Carlson talked me off the ledge with each consultation as I was being threatened by the management company of my building. He knows California tenant laws inside and out and offers expert, no-nonsense advice ...without bleeding you financially. I'd recommend his services to anyone requiring legal advice on tenant issues in Los Angeles.
