When you request a jury trial ask your lawyer to request the max number of days. What kind of apartment or lawyers will want to show up to jury trial for a week or more with continuances?? Get a pro bono or paid Jury trial lawyer, if you are able to. You need this back up if there's no settlement. Show up to court with (4) Jury trial binders ready, send the court a courtesy copy with all council CC'd and even the judge might be impressed. Assert your right to jury trial and you will avoid eviction!
