I can’t even begin to explain how overwhelmed I was throughout this process and how totally confident I was made to feel by Brittany. To summarize, I had a commercial landlord who was ruthless during the Newsome-mandated shut downs of non-essential businesses in CA. In good faith I continued to pay 50% of the lease payment even while we weren't allowed to open. When the lease expired, the landlord was demanding $25,000 of back ren...t that was due "due to COVID." We had to rent a home for a year. Just to get it, there was supposedly a bidding war, where we paid $500 more per month than original asking, paid six months in advance and 2 month’s security deposit.
