In a nutshell: You as a tenant can't win an eviction case period. the most you can do is to find a way to drag and delay your answer for 3 to 5 months and this will force the landlord to settle. I was not behind on my rent. to contrary they retur...ned my last rent payment because it was too much! Yes this action against me was a retaliation for reporting the landlord to government agencies. Pomona Court Judges i dealt with were notorious in their bias against me, without knowing anything about my case! as such they just assumed i didn't pay my rent and i'm playing game to stay where iam, rent free! My first judge was so pissed off and mad with me to the point he literally yelled at me making fun of my answers! anyway, when the Landlord lawyer found out in the 4th month, Ken Carlson is my "ghost" lawyer, as she put it, she literally panicked in front of the judge!! Yes she got used to winning cases in 21 days or so, and for this reason she charged Landlords flat fee of $700 or so! Ken behind the seen, dragged my case on for 5 months. She happened to know Ken personally and when she complained to the judge about Ken tactics, the judge told me not to deal with Ken! imagine that if you can!who i deal with is none of his business, but this tell you, to what extend these so called judges are willing to go in support of landlords! So scared and stressed to death this lawyer, scared the hell out of her client "the Landlord" forcing him to settle with me, because she was operating at net loss, commuting very long distance from Ventura County to Pomona!! This arrogant land lord when I saw him on the settlement day, was literally shaking to the point he avoided any eye contact with me for the first time ever!

Ken Carlson is by far the best in his field!! He knows what he is doing and predicts every situation and gains you the rights you are entitled to !!
