This was a whole new kind of oppression I never knew. Eventually he moved out of state and he tried alienated my kids from me, threatened to hit them when they’d ask about me, instruct them to poison me so I’d die and they’d have to live with him, and when I’d FaceTime my kids during their visits with him, he’d stand on the other side of the phone instructing them to call me a “B” and say they don’t want to live with me anymore. Thankfully my kids would come home and tell me everything. Eventually he started physically abusing them as well. I reached out to my previous divorce lawyer, explained what was going on and she never called me back. I didn’t need a run of the mill family law lawyer, I needed a trial lawyer who specializes in domestic violence. That’s when someone referred me to Dawn. Dawn moves quickly and concisely- she quickly got my kids and I protected under a temporary domestic violence restraining order until we went to trial. She is fierce and intelligent; watching her frequently correct opposing counsel(s) on their legal knowledge was a thing of art. Her ability to tactfully question my abuser in a way that tangled him up and exposed his lies became one of the most empowering experiences of my life; and when she noticed witness tampering in the court hallway, she did not hesitate to bring it to light and have their witness thrown out. Our case resulted in a permanent no contact restraining order. Our new lives can begin because of her.

I am really shocked by the other reviews which are incorrectly portraying Ms. Saenz. Ms. Saenz is our family's hero. She truly cares about each case as if it were personally affecting her, but is professional enough to skillfully navigate high conflict cases. I lost my child in a bogus TRO motion (pr...ior to retaining Ms. Saenz) and Ms. Saenz stuck with me, encouraged me and fought to victory. Her staff is amazing as well, prompt in returning phone calls and when there's an emergency, they're all on it immediately. She does not waste your retainer and bills in a very honest manner. Get this gal on your case before the other party gets her....you will be glad she's by your side instead on the other side of the table. Please don't ever close your office, we will always need you and so many others will benefit from your amazing expertise.
