My personal miracle worker!

I am eager and honored to recount my experience with Katrina Eagle ESQ. My husband, Danny Russ, passed way in May of 2021 from Bile Duct Cancer. Danny had served in Vietnam as a young man. He worked in the air strip where planes, carrying agent orange, took off and landed many times a day. However..., Bile Duct Cancer is not listed as a presumptive condition related to agent orange. Yet, it was evident that he had been exposed and it had poisoned his bile ducts and liver. So, I contacted the veterans administration and filed for survivors benefits. He had only lived three weeks after being diagnosed so there was no time for him to file himself. I was denied the benefits and had one year to appeal. I called 4 (four) veteran administration attorneys, each one declined handling my appeal. Each one said my case had merit, but they just didn’t have time to take it on. Upon receiving the call of denial from the fourth attorney I had contacted, I now had one month left to appeal. I was hopelessly sitting at my computer when my phone rang. Being it was a unknown number, I almost did not answer. However I did answer to discover on the other end was a representative from the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation ® (the medical term for bile duct cancer). She gave me the name of a person who turned out to be my own private angel. Katrina Eagle. Katrina called me herself after reviewing my case which I had sent to her via the Internet. Not a screener, not paralegal, the actual attorney, Katrina Eagle, called me herself. She told me she had reviewed my case already and she was glad to take it on. This was June of 2022-I was approved for my appeal and received the backpay from when my husband had passed away by October 2022. Obviously what I’m about to say is what I believe, but cannot proof. That is my case was a comparatively small case so the lawyers fee was not as large as some other cases might be. This is why, I believe, the other attorneys turned me down. Without hesitation Katrina Eagle stepped in and did a fantastic unbelievable job. Katrina is concerned about the vet and his or her family, not how big will her commission be. I will always call her my miracle worker.

Excellence

Katrina was highly recommended by our VA counselor, so I contacted her to help us through a disability claim. From the start, she struck me as extremely competent and organized. She always returned emails and phone calls promptly and kept me up to date on the case. She succeeded beyond all expectatio...ns, and then went further and got us more benefits. I rarely give five stars to anything, but I have no hesitation giving them to Katrina. With a plus!

Vietnam Success Story

On August 10, 2015 my husband David W Baierl had surgery to remove a tumor on the left side of his brain. After having difficulty with his speech, a trip to emergency and several test (Cat Scan and MRI, the doctors found a mass which was later known to be Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade 4. It’s a fas...t growing and very aggressive type of cancer. A few weeks his after surgery Dave started radiation and chemotherapy. He was very brave as he went through several months of treatments and followed by more MRI’s. For a short time, the tumor (most was removed during the surgery) had shrunk considerably. That didn’t last long. The MRI showed it was growing and broke through the scar tissue from the surgery and began to spread. We decided to try electric field therapy. Patches were applied to Dave’s head and I had to change them every other day. Dave developed a terrible infection and had to discontinue the therapy. In May 2016, we contacted the VA in our county to ask if Dave’s cancer could be connected to Agent Orange. His type of cancer was not on the list of cancers caused by the use of Agent Orange in Vietnam. We contacted Katrina Eagle (Veteran Attorney) and she agreed to take our case and help my husband. She kept in touch and walked me through forms that needed to be filled out. She called several times to let us know how things were moving along. In December 2016, Dave was granted full disability and received a check which included back pay from the day he was diagnosed. Katrina Eagle is the most caring person and is dedicated to working for our veterans. Dave was able to see the results. He passed away April 18, 2017. He was a loving husband, fantastic father and grandfather and was always proud to be a Vietnam veteran. He loved his country. Thank you Katrina for all your hard work and moving the process along so quickly. God Bless! Carol Baierl

Highly Recommend Katrina Eagle to assist Veterans with their claims

I hired Katrina Eagle to assist me in obtaining an earlier effective date for my 100% disability rating. My case was at the BVA when i hired her. I had been fighting with the VA for thirteen years for them to do the right thing. Katrina Eagle was successful in obtaining an earlier effective date f...or me. I cannot praise Katrina Eagle highly enough. She is extremely helpful, she kept me informed the whole time, she explained everything to me and she was successful. My wife worked in law firms for over 20 years and says that Katrina Eagle is one of the most honest, ethical, trustworthy and dedicated lawyers she has ever had dealings with. I have worked with lawyers in the past for other matters and none of them gave me the confidence or the time that Katrina Eagle gave me. I have recommended Katrina Eagle to everyone in my area that I know is having trouble with their claims at the VA and I have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who needs legal assistance with their VA cases. If your case is winnable she will fight for you until she wins it. If your case is not winnable, she will tell you so and tell you why. I highly recommend Katrina Eagle.

"Attorney Eagle is nationally recognized for her work for disabled Veterans. I attended the legal education class she provided to our Massachusetts chapter of elder law attorneys, and she explained how Veterans benefits can be obtained and coordinated for elderly veterans and their spouses. If you are a veteran who needs to resolve a VA claim, you would be fortunate to retain Attorney Eagle."
