I was referred to Katrina Eagle by a past commander who spoke very highly of her professionalism and tenacity in seeking benefits earned by veterans. When we were told of his terminal diagnosis from cholangiocarcinoma, my husband, a Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veteran, said to me adamantly and repeatedly. ‘You contact the VA. They’ll help you.” I was unprepared for the challenges that I encountered over the next ten months. Following the claim proces...s on the VA.gov website, I spent hours, days, weeks carefully completing the multiple VA forms, gathering and submitting ( uploading) the required documentation. No matter how much I submitted, there was always something else needed. It was nearly a year into the process that I became aware of Katrina Eagle, through a chance encounter with another Veteran widow, who had such praise. My Air Force veteran husband was in the hospital for eight months with an acute leukemia when we heard about Katrina. As a Vietnam vet, and after the usual denial of my claim, I hired Katrina and her firm to take up the fight for me.
