HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! SAVED MY CAREER!!! After the horrible decision I made in March 2021, I was referred to Mr. Price and Defending Rights Law Center. In March of 2021, I was charged with my first offense DUI with a .23% Blood Alcohol Level and Hit and Run. After being taken to the Sherriff station the officers obtained a warrant to draw my blood after I refused the blood draw. I was charged with a Refusal at DMV, and was facing a one year hard suspension of my license. Through being proactive and following the steps Mr. Price suggested and working closely with his Paralegal, Amanda, I was able to work out a plea deal where you only had to do the 3 month class instead of the 9 month class with 3 years of probation instead of 5 and got you the bare minimum punishment possible for a DUI with the Hit and Run charge dismissed and no refusal. On top of that he was able to WIN THE REFUSAL and DMV set it aside and I was able to get a restricted license. He advised we pay to subpoena the arresting officer and over the course of two hearings, Mr. Price was able to point out issues with the arresting officer’s procedures and show the DMV Hearing Officer that the steps missed rendered this case not a Refusal. Luckily, the DMV Hearing Officer agreed! Had we not brought in the arresting officer, we would have 100% lost. Without Mr. Price and the Defending Rights Law Center, I am confident I would have lost my career and would be back in the job market. I was arrested for DUI without ever driving a vehicle! Josh Price was hired based on his impeccable track record and long tenure in his field. Just like a lot of people, I never imagined I’d get arrested, find myself in jail, or being charged with a DUI. I had a horrible lapse of judgment as I drove 3 blocks with a BAC of .26%. On top of this awful mistake, I did not make things easy for myself or for Mr. Price as I refused to submit to a c...hemical breath and blood DUI test. At the police station, the arresting officer procured a warrant to draw my blood. Subsequently, I was additionally charged with refusal to submit to alcohol testing with the DMV. This carries an automatic 1-year hard suspension of my driver license. When I got home from my night in jail, I immediately started Googling and researching “the best DUI attorneys in San Diego.” I read reviews and asked for attorney recommendations from a few people I knew who had been charged with a DUI. I called and spoke to several DUI attorneys, but I but was not sure who to go with. I didn’t have to wear an ankle bracelet or put a breathalyzer in my vehicle. Mr. Price worked hard to get me the bare minimum punishment possible for a DUI. On top of that, he was able to WIN THE REFUSAL with the DMV hearing officer setting aside the action. My driving privileges were restored and was able to get a restricted license for only 4 months. I can’t praise Mr. Price and Amanda enough for all of their help throughout the entire process. Whenever there were any updates regarding my case, they were prompt in contacting me. Anytime I had questions, they both responded quickly. They were essentially available whenever I needed them. Mr. Price won my DMV hearing so I did not have to face any license suspension or get an SR-22 for 3 years! First things first, I don't think anyone thinks that they would somehow end up with a DUI but sure enough it happened to me. A million things run through your mind but most importantly "hiring the right lawyer" was my question I thoroughly asked myself. So I did my research and talked with many lawye...rs for days and realized one of them really stuck out to me.
