Crosby Scott Connolly

I hired Crosby S. Connolly to defend me against a lawsuit from a major creditor. I hired Crosby to replace my previous attorney who was disbarred because of defrauding his clients and ultimately lost his practice. In our first response to what the creditor alleged was owed was a denial that I owed th...em that amount. After months of negotiating, Crosby negotiated a much higher settlement than I would have ever expected. At the time the settlement was drafted and agreed on I was drawing social security and on limited income. I made payments in excess of $1,300 a month for one year and was never late with a payment. As a senior citizen he should have recognized what actions could and could not be taken regarding me. After making these payments I had to continuously request from Crosby for over a year a copy of the court’s dismissal of the cases. I also received a 1099C from this creditor for the difference between the amount settled through the court system and what the creditor claimed was owed. Which was in dispute. In addition, this will also remain on my credit until seven years even though I honored everything I said I would do regarding this negotiated settlement through the court system. When I contacted Crosby regarding these issues, he stated these issues were unrelated to the issue I hired him for. These issues are a direct result and within his scope of representation as far as I am concerned. I had numerous heated discussions with Crosby even asking him directly was he representing me and my interests or opposing counsel’s interest. At the end I felt completely sold out, abandoned and totally bitter over him ever representing me. He even pawned me off to a colleague to get rid of me. I am certain that this attorney has relationships with every debt attorney out there. He will sell you out as he sold me out. You would be better off getting a free debt service or negotiating a direct settlement with the creditor. Had I done this I would have been much better off financially. I would definitely not recommend using this attorney whatsoever.

Yet another example of bad lawyering. As a practicing, not scummy attorney, having a close friend reach out to me about a letter that she received indicating her or her family was being sued when it was just a horrendous advertisement.....I was disgusted to say the least. My suggestion is to throw aw...ay any correspondence from this guy and find a better attorney.

My Mother almost had a heart attack from receiving a deceptive advertisement from this scumbag. The advertisement was worded and prepared on an official letterhead indicating that she was being sued. When in fact they were just sending fishing letters to people with similar names in the county in hop...es of drumming up new clients. How low-life can you be? It took me an hour on the phone to get her calmed down from crying.

Could not get anywhere with a debt collector on a settlement. They absolutely refused to settle and got a court judgment for 3x the amount owed. Found Crosby Connolly online and they not only got the creditor to settle for 7000.00 less they made sure to include getting the judgment removed from my cr...edit. I highly recommend this company and their rates are very fair.
