Wow! What a truly great experience! I wanted to change my legal name and gender marker, but where to begin? It’s complicated, it’s confusing, time consuming, and you spends hours and hours and waste so many days just making missteps and waiting in long lines.... But Joel made it SO easy! He told me what I would need, where I should send it, what I tv should say, and what order I need to take certain steps in! I never in a million years thought that getting such a heavy weight off my chest would be so organized, calm, and easy! Truly, I felt like I was being guided by an expert. I was so desperate and totally lost when I received summons. I tried so many different lawyers office asked help. But I couldn’t get anything from almost every lawyers office in Las Vegas. Then 1 lawyer office adviced me to contact Nevada State Bar for lawyers assistant. They referred me Mr. Joel Selik. They said 30 minuets for consultation. When I called his office, he was at court and I couldn’t reach him at that time. But his assistant told me that he is very good returning call and he won’t do consultations without speaking and discuss the case. 3 days later, he called me and he asked me all the details and documents. I needed some legal questions answered regarding my project. Other lawyers did not try to understand what I'm doing, but wanted to discuss exorbitant legal fees first. Divorce is a mess due to mistakes which can not be undone and Mr. Selik was the only one to tell me that truth. You have to be very careful when you sign your decree as it can not be changed as easy as it might have been told to you it could. Go with your instinct if you feel your attorney is not working for you and call Mr. Selik. Ethics and Professional responsibility are his creed as he showed just that when he called me and emailed me on my consult. And it took all of 3 mins both times, so he showed it can be done the right way.
