Biography
Erik Ideta is a partner at Mackaness & Ideta, LLP in San Diego, CA. His practice focuses on business, investment fraud, and employment litigation. He represents and advises clients in a broad range of business and corporate disputes in state and federal court and at arbitration.
Erik began his career as an associate with Troutman Sanders LLP, where he was a member of the litigation and government contracts practice groups. During law school, Erik served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Gilbert Nares of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division One.
Erik has also served as Chief Operating Officer of Las Vegas-based startup, Et Al Beauty, LLC.
Erik graduated magna cum laude from California Western School of Law in 2008 and served as the Executive Editor of Notes and Comments for the California Western Law Review. He was nominated as a San Diego Outstanding Young Attorney in 2012 and was awarded the Animal Legal Defense Fund Pro Bono Achievement Award in 2013.
