Anna Reese Yum

After researching numerous attorneys for my sudden legal issues, I chose Ms. Anna Yum due to her extensive background and experience in handling cases such as mine. She did in fact turn out to be very knowledgeable about how to handle my case, and was effective in achieving the best outcome. She took... me through the process step-by-step and was very communicative and open about the entire process. She knew how to handle the system and was strong and direct in doing so, while at the same time being understanding about my situation. Anna Yum is an incredible attorney who works like no other attorney I know. I will explain that further. I had to hire an attorney who practiced in San Diego to represent my son (my husband and I live approximately 500 miles from San Diego). When I went to Google to find an attorney who I never sp...oke to before in my life and knew nothing of her background, I felt so vulnerable I just knew I was doing the worse thing I could possibly do for my son. God was with me that day when I found Anna. She was the second person I reviewed on Google and I was very impressed with her Resume. I read that Resume probably 50 times before I called her. I must explain to you that the reason I reacted the way that I did before hiring an attorney through the Yellow Pages. I have been a legal secretary for over 50 years who worked mainly for trial attorneys and for me to hire a lawyer using the Yellow Pages was totally against my better judgment. Unfortunately, after calling every friend, attorney, legal secretary, etc. no one could refer me to a criminal attorney in San Diego. I also wanted a woman attorney to represent my son. I know how they work. I realize that after working for 50 years with attorneys you get to know how a man works and how a woman works. When my husband and I decided to call Anna, (this was on a Sunday) she answered the phone very quickly. When I am hiring an attorney to represent my only son, and especially feeling so insecure about not know anything about criminal law, after our conversation I knew that Anna felt that she was being interrogated instead of her asking the questions. I asked her questions I’m sure she was never asked before and I knew she was somewhat uncomfortable, but she handled herself so eloquently and I listened so carefully to every word she said and how she spoke. Anna knew she had a pain in the --- for a parent (me) to deal with, but it didn’t bother her in the least. She was straightforward and answered every question that both my husband and I asked her and left nothing to our imagination. Anna is the type of person that is not afraid to speak her mind—and that is what I wanted. I wanted to find a woman who had balls and we found a woman who we watched in court and listened to every word she said. I can’t tell you enough about how Anna represented herself in court. I felt as though she knew the answer before the question was raised. Knew every court officer, opposing counsel and judge. She walked into a courtroom completely ready to represent her client. All paperwork was ready. All necessary documents that had to be filed with the court were filed! All necessary documents she needed from my son and from us she had in plenty of time. As a legal secretary these are the important things to see. Most important she is a nice person and you know that you are being given the best possible legal representation. She also gave my son plenty of time to get the paperwork he needed to get. She told him exactly what was going to take place in the courtroom when he needed to make an appearance and he appreciated that. When I asked her to talk with my son about something I felt he needed to do, it was done. Nothing was overlooked. I had several occasions to talk with the investigator that Anna uses. He asked me how I found Anna and when I told him from the Yellow Pages his response was “Boy did you luck out”. The investigator was terrific and could not say enough about Anna’s work ethics and how very lucky we were that we found such a competent lawyer. I told him I was very grateful that I was so fortunate to find a true blessing. I can’t say enough about Anna. In 50 years of being in the law field, I truly was blessed with someone who knew what they were doing and expertly represented my son. Please, don’t waste your time looking for a criminal attorney. Anna Yum is the best. You won’t be sorry.

Ms. Yum handled my restraining order case recently. Not only did she get the restraining order dropped, she arbitrated an agreement between myself and the other party which was everything I could hope for and then some. She was truly remarkable and I felt that I was in most capable hands. She was co...mpetent, honest, professional and thought on her feet. I really cannot say enough about how impressed I was and how grateful I am to have found her. She was worth every penny.
