Beyond grateful

I was involved in a restraining order case that was filed against me out of malice and revenge. Vernon Ellicott took my case, fought for me and we won. Weak Attorney

I’m not sure where the positive reviews are coming from here. Historically, this attorney does not complete contract or do what he says he will do. For example, I hired him for limited scope representation for child custody and child support. The terms of our contract said he would represent me until... an order for both custody and support went in place. This attorney accepted my payment in full, and served me a sub attorney before he got me a child support order. He also trolled me over Yelp for other people’s bad reviews of him. During the time he represented me he failed to provide information about my coparent that was pertinent to my case. One example, he did not disclose that my coparent filed a response opposition to my response declaration. Another example, he did not disclose that my coparent had an attorney. Also, he kept forgetting my and the minor child’s name; did not keep me up to date with important deadlines and corresponded a lot with my coparent and behind my back. He did not encourage me to seek a protective order when my coparent withheld the minor child, and he was unable to provide me with my file at the premature end of our relationship. I hope the positive reviews on here are because he’s improving his work ethics and not because he is trying to cover up all the people who he hurt while being in practice.

This review is part of a continuing series of fake one-star reviews using fake names or "anonymous," starting in the Fall of 2021 made by a former client with mental health issues. I have reached out to her numerous times to try to help her, but there is nothing I can do in light of her mental health issues. Attorneys are very limited in what they can say in response to online reviews, so all I can say is that this former client has issues no attorney could resolve or fix. I feel bad for her. I hope anyone reading this review will realize that no attorney could practice almost 30 years as I have and treat clients as alleged in this review. I prepare carefully for court, work hard to help my clients and care deeply about what happens to my clients. I am a Certified Family Law Specialist, and my certification has been renewed several times. Most of the references for my renewal of my Specialist Certification come from judges I appear in front of regularly. Great Work-Will Hire Again

Vernon Ellicott helped me get more time with my son, after years of injustice due to the other party’s dishonesty and the broken system. He did an excellent job at the hearing and in the run-up to the hearing. I intend to hire him again next year and hopefully get more time with my son.

Not excellent attorney

Terrible litigator. My wife and I wouldn’t recommend. If you’re looking for someone to help you out legally I suggest avoiding this dude at all costs. Our experience was poor and he managed to make a nightmare case worse by avoiding us at all costs following accepting our retainer. I also want to po...int out how much he lies? If you check his reviews you see he says he doesn’t represent any of the bad reviews.. most of which are not even full names. Thanks for nothing Vernon.
