Vernon Louis Ellicott

I’m not sure where the positive reviews are coming from here. Historically, this attorney does not complete contract or do what he says he will do. For example, I hired him for limited scope representation for child custody and child support. The terms of our contract said he would represent me until... an order for both custody and support went in place. This attorney accepted my payment in full, and served me a sub attorney before he got me a child support order. He also trolled me over Yelp for other people’s bad reviews of him. During the time he represented me he failed to provide information about my coparent that was pertinent to my case. One example, he did not disclose that my coparent filed a response opposition to my response declaration. Another example, he did not disclose that my coparent had an attorney. Also, he kept forgetting my and the minor child’s name; did not keep me up to date with important deadlines and corresponded a lot with my coparent and behind my back. He did not encourage me to seek a protective order when my coparent withheld the minor child, and he was unable to provide me with my file at the premature end of our relationship. I hope the positive reviews on here are because he’s improving his work ethics and not because he is trying to cover up all the people who he hurt while being in practice.

I am writing this review with intense pain and regret. Regret is that I fell for the sweet talks of Vernon Ellicott of him saying that he would protect me. He even said he has a photographic memory to which I thought what better could any person expect from their lawyer than to remember all the laws ...that he has read. Once they had taken my money I had to chase them for an answer. Constant emails and calls were unheard and were replied with dumb answers like "we are working on it" and anything they could stick us with, by the time they sent me their review it was everything that I myself had communicated with them. They had copied and pasted everything in it and it meant nothing to me. It was a feeling of disgust after reading such a response from Vernon Ellicott and which he doesn't realize its playing with other people's life's. I would urge everyone to please look for a different firm and most of all go to a person who realizes that their profession is to make people's life's better not to just take their money, sell them lies and then fool around with their lives with wasting their time and chance at life.

Vernon Ellicott is an exceptional attorney who is professional, knowledgeable and can be trusted. Within the first few minutes of the initial consultation, we knew exactly what to expect when filing a Chapter 13. I unfortunately needed a lawyer and was referred to Vern by a friend. It was for a financial problem that was growing everyday. That's when my friend said Vern will do it in half the time and you'll love him. Well my friend was absolutely correct but I didn't just love Vern I cherished him. He went above and beyond settling this, it was extremely quick and for a lot less than I was told by the other guy, a quarter of the amount in fact. Throughout the whole process Vern was in touch and kept me posted. He reassured me so my stress level was down and I really felt I was in the best hands possible. I would refer Vern to anyone that needs his professional services! This was one of the best decisions I have ever made hiring Vern Ellicott!
