Demanded 5000 or would drop my case!

A couple years back I contacted Dan for an employer issue I had, When first talking with him he made me feel very confident using his services. We signed the contract and off we went. At first I didn't hear from him for quite some time, when I did he would talk down to me and make pretty rude comment...s aimed at my intelligence. After about 4 months of nothing happening his assistant or receptionist contacts me asking if I know where to find the employer I was going after. I told them where they can find them and shortly after I did so the necessary papers were finally served to the person. I feel we had a really good case since the employer was just attacking my character and not really addressing any of our claims. Then I was given a bunch of papers to fill out I didn't really know what or how to answer what they were asking but I did my best and turned them into his assistant. I felt I was doing quite a bit but was happy to help any way I could to help facilitate my case. After a little while of emailing info back and forth I thought it would be much easier, if he had something to talk about with me to call or text because I sometimes don't check emails, and he hadn't been really consistent with big gaps in between emails. I let him know this but he refused to just call or text insisted on emails. I wanted to go over a couple things so I asked to have a zoom meeting later in the week. When that day came I had to get towed to a mechanic because my car broke down and in the whole fiasco of dealing with that I accidently missed our zoom meeting I set up. The next time we talked he was really upset by the way he was talking to me I could tell he was mad. He said "you gotta get a lil skin in the game" and "I'm going to need 5000 from you or else I'm dropping your case, I explained I didn't have that much money to give him he answered with " Im sorry you are having money problems ". But "I need 5000 today or I'm dropping your case". He said to pay for the depositions he had done for my case. Thinking I didn't know what that meant, He never took any depositions at all. The next day I told him I just don't have that kind of money right now. Later that week I got a paper for him removing himself from my case due to client lawyer relationship not working out. He knew nobody else would take my case, because of how far along we were already in the case. I called all over trying to get someone else to take my case. Hitting brick wall after brick wall, no one wanted to touch someone else's work they wanted to do it their way. He knew I wouldn't be able to find anyone especially because it was during covid . It was a pretty shady thing to do I eventually lost the case because I didn't know how to answer the mountain of paperwork the employers lawyer was now sending to me. I'm not a lawyer I wasn't prepared to take on the case alone that's why I hired Holzman. I gave him everything he asked for I even helped him find the defendent letting him know where and when to find them. I feel like I was cheated out of winning my case that was pretty solid had he just done the job he promised. I'm pretty sure this falls under the breach of contract I believe we would have won, we had a strong case and they really had no defense. All they could do was lie and attack my character a jury or judge would have seen right away what they were doing. The way my case was handled was so unprofessional and it makes me wonder why me, He has nothing but good reviews here and other sites . Why he was the way he was with me condescending rude would yell at me at times, then lies to get himself removed from my case. Which I ended up losing owing them money for their lawyer fees.

Dan, such a life saver

So this is written by someone who does have an attorney and since the stakes are so high feels he still needs to bring a lot more legal and technical muscles to the case. I didn't hire Dan, he never saw me nor did he charge me a dime but he went above and beyond to save me around $1M in my case while... I was just a random voice on the phone. I am extremely impressed by Dan's attitude and at the same time appalled by how misleading my own lawyer's recommendations turned out to be. While I am finding it difficult to call this "free consultation"; Dan Holzman's "free remote work" on my case saved me a lot of money and on top of that a successful senior level career of 20 years. If you're looking for someone who sees beyond his short-term financial interests with a ton of knowledge AND able to explain it to a non-legal expert then Dan has to be your #1 choice.

Very professional, patient, honest and kind.

I don't do reviews but I had to make an exception this time because Mr. Holzman was very kind and honest. He returned my call the same day and he answered my questions and gave me his honest opinion. This was a free consultation so I thought it would be quick and brief but it was the opposite. I was ...able to tell my story without feeling rushed and he really seemed like he cared. I thought once I told him that money was not what I was after, he would lose interest but he still took his time and explained to me how I can take care of the matter myself. I would hire him as my attorney if I'm forced to take legal actions.

Couldn't help me with me case, but gave me substantial info that may help me that he wasn't even obliged to do

This man helped me over the phone and answered a question that didn't even apply to his field that helped me succeed in my case

Caskey & Holzman~ "Life Changers"

Caskey & Holzman services where do I begin? I will do my best to give a written review although words could never express my gratefulness and satisfaction. Caskey & Holzman is more than just a attorney firm they are life changers. From the first time I called Dan and left a message his services have ...been stellar. Dan called me back immediately on same day, he was genuine and took the time to really listen to my story. He offered me an invitation for an in-person consultation at zero cost. The the moment I stepped into the offices of Caskey & Holzman I knew I was in good hands. The staff was so friendly, caring, and accommodating. Dan went over every detail of my circumstances, and genuinely took the time to get to know me. He wanted to be sure he could help me, and if he couldn't he wasn't going to waste my time with false information and false hopes. After going over the facts and details surrounding my situation we both agreed to work together. The experience of working with Dan and team far exceeded my expectations. Every step of the process was made simple, easy, and in my best interest. They were my gladiators going to battle for me, and allowing me to spectate. They took care of everything. I was not stressed, and weighed down with worry at all. In the midst of a very stressful situation I was completely at peace. All processes and details were handled for me. Dan as I call him is my "Sweet Lion" kind and gentle with my needs and when and if needed to protect me he would be relentless to whomever tried to harm me/case. Dan and team went to battle with and for me. I will be forever in their debt for the services they provided. Dan and team customer service was white glove, five star, and honest. The creme dela creme of attorney firms. I am so blessed and so happy that I picked up the phone a called Caskey & Holzman. My life will never be the same and I am better for knowing them. "Life Changers" is how I will forever reference Caskey & Holzman attorney firm. They have completely changed my life for the better. I would recommend Caskey & Holzman to anyone I know and to those I don't know rather dealing with employer related issues or not I am referring everyone to Caskey & Holzman for ALL legal matters. I am that confident in their services and based on my experience I am certain that even if for some strange reason someone's case doesn't fall within their area of expertise they will get that person the right referral. They are the "Good Doers" when no one is watching they do the right thing. You can definitely count on that. They will be quickly responsive to your every request/need, dedicated to your case, shoot it to you straight, and always work in your best interest. Caskey & Holzman~ "Life Changers"

"I emphatically endorse Dan Holzman. I first met Dan as an opposing counsel on a wrongful termination case. Dan was at all times professional and honest, but at the same time a staunch advocate for his client. I came to respect Dan for his ethical and reasoned approach to the case we opposed each other on. I have had occasion over the last 10 years since meeting Dan to refer potential clients to him several times. In every instance Dan was straight forward with the clients and with me about the case's merit. I have also sought out Dan's advice for my own client's cases and he has always taken the time to listen and offer his take or advice on the case. I wouldn't hesitate to call Dan as the first lawyer on my list."
