Since 1984 I have worked as a trial lawyer, I am surprised at how much I still love this job. I get to meet so many different folk, in so many different walks of life, and I am always learning something new and challenging.
The down side of doing this work however, is that so often you are dealing with people in a miserable situation. Their lives have been turned upside down by a catastrophe, that should have been avoided, had it not been for someone else's carelessness or wrongdoing. It's heartbreaking to see what some people go through. But clients don't come to you for pity. What they need from you, as their lawyer, is to help pick up the pieces, and obtain justice.
That is where the up side of being a lawyer comes in, because there is no greater feeling of acomplishment when you are able to obtain justice for your client. In the end, it is a basic human need to feel that you made things better in this life. I get the chance to do this every day when I show up to work. What more can you ask for?

I endorse Robert Dourian. He has been one of my mentors since I was a law student and has taught me so much helping me to become a very successful trial lawyer myself. His experience, hard work, passion, and love for his clients is unmatched.
