In my experience, defending a criminal case is a lot like digging for diamonds. You have to go through tonnes of dirt and other distractions before finding something that you might be able to use. The best solution in many criminal cases is not obvious, and careful evaluation of the strengths, weakenesses and risks of each potential path you could take is extremely important.  Your freedom depends on it.
