My 82 year old client, the seller of her residence for over 40 years, was being taken advantage of by a buyer who was requesting an enormous price reduction siting bogus repairs. When the seller wouldn't agree, the buyer wouldn't sign the cancellation of contract, and attempted to strong arm her int...o accepting his reduction. The seller moved forward with the back-up offer, as was her right per the purchase agreement, and the buyer and his "attorney" filed a law suit against the seller impeding the sale of her property to another buyer. We talked with several attorneys after which the client selected Attorney Schorr to represent her. He immediately sent an aggressive letter to the buyer's attorney stating the frivolous nature of their law suit and the sellers pending action to file a counter one, which would include charges of elder abuse, if they did not dismiss their suit post haste. After his tough negotiations he drew up an agreement which the seller agreed to sell the property to the buyer and the the buyer agreed to pay his FULL offer price. We were able to close escrow on our original close date and at the price the seller wanted! Attorney Schorr worked swiftly and deliberately to resolve this issue and save my client money on legal fees. He was compassionate about what was obviously senior citizen abuse on the part of the buyer. His office kept us informed and he made himself available to speak with us as needed. I would recommend him to everyone who needs a real estate attorney.
