I am a Los Angeles based real estate attorney who leads a team of real estate lawyers. I represent many types of clients ranging from businesses to high net worth individuals, landlords, tenants, real estate investors, developers, and more.  I enjoy litigating real estate disputes all throughout Southern California.  Some of my recent accomplishments include:

·      $4.618 million fraud judgment against a real estate developer, attorney and construction company;

·      A jury verdict resulting in $2.5 million payment to my client;

·      A successful resolution of a specific performance case without settlement or trial while recovering all of my client's attorneys' fees;

·      A jury verdict in favor all five of my clients in a multiparty real estate litigation;

·      Successfully defeating a judgment debtor's attempt to dispose of a judgment through bankruptcy;

·      A complete defense verdict (12-0) on all claims after a lengthy jury trial involving the sale of an airplane;

·      An arbitration award in favor of my clients being sued for alleged failure to disclosure in connection with real property with no money awarded to the claimant; and

·      Numerous large settlements for my clients.

Very practical
We hired Schorr Law to help us with a few different real estate matters. We began by consulting with them on the purchase of a property and then wound up going back to Zach for continued advice throughout escrow. He was able to give both a legal and practical perspective that made the issues easy to understand. We are happy we found this firm and to have access to their real estate knowledge.

Perfman e delivered beyond expectations
I had the opportunity to work with Zach and his team in a few different but matters. One was a difficult collection matter on a real estate matter which he successfully brought to trial. I saw him perform very comfortably in front of the judge. Remarkable in fact. He got us to trial quickly and the judge appreciated his level of preparedness. He also helped advised me on a real estate deal I was considering and had good perspective and insight. Very reasonable approach and always hitting a cost benefit approach so I could make a good choice and figure my case out monetarily.I can't recommend them enough.

Insightful and Efficient Real Estate Attorney
I hired Zachary Schorr and his firm to help me with both a real estate transaction I was doing and ongoing litigation. For the transaction, Zach provided me with valuable insight on a multi-million dollar transaction I was negotiating and provided insight my broker did not provide. In the litigation, he quickly got my case to judgment and counseled me along the way about cost benefit which I found useful.

Great Lawyer for Arbitration
I hired Mr. Schorr to help with with an arbitration. He came to the case with knowledge about real estate law and appraisals and was able to really think on his feet during cross-examination of experts because he knew the ins and outs of the case and the law in such a way that he could pin the experts down and find their inconsistencies. We ultimately prevailed in the arbitration and I could not be happier with the results Mr. Schorr obtained. He took the time to explain his strategy to me and I really appreciated being included in all aspects of the case.

Zachary Schorr is an excellent attorney. He has successfully represented my family in many aspects of litigation and complex property issues for the past seven years. Every single legal matter that Zachary has represented us on, we have won! He has worked diligently to clear up numerous legal issues on over ten properties. He is extremely professional and confident in the court room as well as arbitrating. He has handled each and every case with great care and always takes the time to explain all aspects of our legal options. I highly recommend hiring attorney Zachary Schorr if you are looking for a confident and experienced law firm with very reasonable rates. He's a winner!

Smart, competent and personable attorney
Zach has handled numerous real estate matters for me. Some were simple and some very complex. I found him to be very efficient, competent and personable lawyer. He knows when to be aggressive with the opposing side. He is very knowledgeable about real estate and procedural law. He has very good litigation skills. Zach is creative in his approach to solving the problems. He is a strategic thinker as well as one who knows the procedural details. I would highly recommend him and his firm.

You want him on your team!
My 82 year old client, the seller of her residence for over 40 years, was being taken advantage of by a buyer who was requesting an enormous price reduction siting bogus repairs. When the seller wouldn't agree, the buyer wouldn't sign the cancellation of contract, and attempted to strong arm her into accepting his reduction. The seller moved forward with the back-up offer, as was her right per the purchase agreement, and the buyer and his "attorney" filed a law suit against the seller impeding the sale of her property to another buyer. We talked with several attorneys after which the client selected Attorney Schorr to represent her. He immediately sent an aggressive letter to the buyer's attorney stating the frivolous nature of their law suit and the sellers pending action to file a counter one, which would include charges of elder abuse, if they did not dismiss their suit post haste. After his tough negotiations he drew up an agreement which the seller agreed to sell the property to the buyer and the the buyer agreed to pay his FULL offer price. We were able to close escrow on our original close date and at the price the seller wanted! Attorney Schorr worked swiftly and deliberately to resolve this issue and save my client money on legal fees. He was compassionate about what was obviously senior citizen abuse on the part of the buyer. His office kept us informed and he made himself available to speak with us as needed. I would recommend him to everyone who needs a real estate attorney. As a realtor for over 10 years I had never had a transaction where it was necessary to hire an attorney, while I hope I never do again. if I do, It's comforting to know that Attorney Zach Schorr is on my team.

Best real estate lawyer in LA
Zach is a brilliant lawyer and litigator. He has represented me in several real estate transactions and disputes, and as a lawyer myself, I am blown away by his strategic thinking, his knowledge of real estate and procedural law and his litigation skills. He strikes the perfect balance between being an aggressive advocate and "playing nice" with his opponents when appropriate. Litigation is inherently expensive, but Zach's rates are far better than other lawyers of his caliber and he goes out of his way to resolve or litigate issues efficiently.

Very Aggressive and Personable Attorney
I hired Mr. Schorr and his firm to deal with a few complicated real estate litigation matters as well as some collection matters. He focused on finding an efficient resolution while also being very aggressive in pursuing our goals. We were able to obtain judgments against a few defendants and he had creative ways to try to get us to collect. I recommend Mr. Schorr highly and will use him for years to come.

tenant landlord case
Mr.Schorr took my case on a contingency basis and ended up finishing it almost pro bono. Everything I thought the American legal system would be and then some. A most tenacious gentleman to the very end. His own interests always came second to mine. I would recommend his services unconditionally.

A top Real Estate attorney
We would not be living in our house if it was not for Zach Schorr. We found Schorr Law on Avvo and, on meeting him, we immediately knew that we had found the right lawyer. We were involved in a protracted specific performance lawsuit over a short-sale (a breach of contract issue) and through Zach's tenacity we finally prevailed. We initially approached a big-name downtown law firm who required a very large retainer and yet, still seemed disinterested. Zach understood the parameters of our case and our limited budget and from that moment on became our committed and tenacious advocate. When faced with Zach's legal knowledge and determination the other side capitulated; and we saved the expense of going to court. He always returned calls or emails promptly and he guided us through the legal labyrinth with great clarity. We always knew what was going on and what to expect. His retainer was more than reasonable as were his fees - and he was always very conscious of trying to minimise our costs (much appreciated). Without hesitation, we would recommend Zach Schorr, Esq and Schorr Law to anyone.

Amazing Attorney
I would not hesitate recommending Mr. Schorr as he is an excellent attorney. He represented me in a suit for specific performance when the seller of the home I was purchasing tried to back out of the contract. Mr. Schorr's performance in court was exceptional. In the end, he not only won my case and defended me from a counter claim, he also won my attorney's fees. I would give him more than five stars if I could.

Great results
I went to Mr. Schorr's office after visiting his website. Beyond anything else he delivered a high level of dedication to my case that ultimately helped us prevail. His staff and associates helped out and they really know real estate law.

Robbing attorney
This attorney doesn’t do anything for the case even though he got paid a large amount of retainer and he’s just manipulate his clients to pay him more money every time without progressing the case and also despite the fact that we had an agreement signed by him to take care of my other case and he did not even bother to do his due deligence and caused me a big damage to my case and asked me again to pay him if I wanted some kind of updates on my case. In final he made me pay him $27,000 for doing nothing and he still sending me additional bills for which he doesn’t even have any invoice or any work order. Pls stay away from this thief, he will dry u to the max and doesn’t deliver what he has agreed to.

Response from Zachary Schorr May 1, 2023
As a preliminary matter, we searched our electronic database of former clients and do not have a former client named "Faye" nor have we been contacted by anyone regarding a $27,000 bill or a payment of $27,000. I can assure your that our firm accounts for all of their time on every matter we have and then sends out descriptions of our time at least once a month - and more frequently upon a client's request. Moreover, if a client ever has a question regarding a bill, billing entry or anything related to billing we do not charge for such discussions because we want to make sure there is an open dialogue with our clients on all matters. Finally, this review, to the extent it is aimed at anyone at Schorr Law or Zachary Schorr, simply is not truthful. We can substrate our work on all of our matters with detailed records and if we agree to represent a client on a matter - we do exactly what we say we are going to do and we do it zealously.

Not trustworthy
I had a real state case with Mr. Schorr few years ago on a contingency base. after over a year going back and fort to court, I received a judgment. we decided to settle the judgment with a dime on a dollar. After signing the proper documents and presenting them to the plaintiff, I was told by Mr. Schorr that he never received any money from plaintiff and insisting that the plaintiff never paid. I believe that Mr. Schorr received the settlement and decided to keep all the money for himself. I tried to contact him several times and left different massages to contact me, but received no phone call from him back.

I am totally confused by this review. This is not an actual client of mine. I think the reviewer has me confused with someone else. Schorr Law does not accept contingency cases. We only handle matters on an hourly basis. I hope that whoever wrote the review finds the actual attorneys involved and takes it up with them. I also suggest filing a complaint with the state bar against that attorney.

won my real estae case but charged exorbitant fees and wanted to change deed of trust with his name
This lawyer won my real estate case but charged exorbitant fees over $300,000.00 and tried to concince me to change the deed of trust on my home to include him. He also threatened liens and to lock down all my assets knowing that I had a lot of equity in my home. He hired 4 different lawyers while expanding his law practice during my case(Rachael Shinoskie , Michael Ouizel, stephanie Goldstein, Mina Kim ) who charged exorbitant fees using "Block billing" raking in thousands of dollars daily even after the trial was over. Many of these fees were redundant,unneccessary like charging for witnesses when there were none, jury phone calls to court when this was not a jury case.. !

Both the underlying court and a panel of three binding arbitrators appointed to review this matter have declared this former client to be not credible. This review is untrue and we encourage potential clients to look at the numerous other positive reviews on this site. We regrettably took this client's case after she had fired or had been fired by five other attorneys. We won her case and got her a judgment valued at approximately $2 million, which she, her five prior attorneys and even the judge thought was impossible. Our fees are more than reasonable and have been declared the same by an independent review. And, although many firms would have charged far more than $300,000 for the amount and complexity of work involved in this case, we did not charge anywhere close to that amount. Our attorneys spent countless, nights, weekends and holidays working on this case to obtain results so remarkable that the Judge stated, “I have been incredibly impressed with the amount of work and the quality of work that has been done. I think the [client] would have been well-served had Mr. Schorr been her counsel [since the beginning].” The judge further stated to Mr. Schorr, “[y]ou were so good in this trial that you convinced me that the law requires that your client win. And, so, I struggled and kicked and fought because it wasn’t particularly the outcome I wanted to have.” This review is particularly upsetting because (despite the tremendous results we obtained for this client), she refuses to pay us, which has resulted in Schorr Law coming out of pocket to pay outside vendors over $10,000 on her behalf. Her refusal to pay her bills was the subject of a binding arbitration which we won and have since converted to a binding judgment against her. The Arbitration Panel ordered her to pay our fees and costs and said that it "does not find [the client's] testimony credible." Her allegations regarding the deed of trust to her home are also untrue. Quite the opposite, as a courtesy, we looked for creative ways to extend her credit during the litigation. Unfortunately, our acts of kindness backfired, and once we won her case, she refused pay the line of credit that we had extended her during the litigation. After our unfortunate experience with this client, we screen our prospective client more carefully and are far more selective in the clients we agree to work with. Schorr law has now been around for almost 10 years and our employees and growth have everything to do with the success we constantly achieve for our many client and the strong relationships we build. Our hard work and creative arguments have resulted in millions of dollars in client awards and savings.
