My college age daughter lived in an off-campus apartment during the past school year, renting a bedroom in a condo from a private owner. Upon leaving, the landlord refused to return her deposit, saying that the deposit was actually "to hold her spot", even thought the lease clearly stated it was as s...ecurity deposit. Patricia quickly evaluated the situation and gave us a couple of options to proceed. We wanted to avoid small claims court, so Patricia wrote a very skillfully constructed letter and was able t get my daughters security deposit back in just a couple of weeks.

I recently hired Patricia to help me with a relatively small matter around a service appointment that went sideways. Given it's a minor legal issue, I was not expecting to be high on Patricia's list. I was pleasantly surprised with how professional, dedicated and responsive Patricia was. She was able... to "fix the problem" for me in a short amount of time, and in the process, gave me the best feeling I could hope for as a customer. I'm sharing here a warm recommendation, and look forward to working with Patricia again in the future if such circumstances arise.

Patricia Boyes was an excellent lawyer for me in a case that dragged on for two years. The case was contentious and the opposition was often unscrupulous (including the lawyers), so she had to use not only her legal knowledge, but also her wits. She was hardworking and often worked on weekends to dra...ft responses or legal documents that needed to be completed quickly and would talk to me on weekends or off hours when necessary. Her office staff was helpful and answered questions when she was unavailable. I appreciated their efforts as well. It was a rare occasion when I couldn't get a hold of anyone. One aspect of a choosing a lawyer that people don't necessarily consider, but that may be important, is the lawyer's ability to empathize with the client regarding the case. While it isn't always necessary, in this case I was often consoled by the fact that Patricia could also empathize with me. I felt she fought for me not only because I was paying her to do so, but because she saw the injustice in the situation. That made a big difference when all the legal wrangling and judgments seemed to be going against me.
