Although I had what most would consider a straight forward divorce, my Ex and her lawyer were doing everything in their power to take me for every penny I had, too make my life miserable and the case drag out as long as possible. Marina aggressively defended my rights, but respected my desire to not ..."escalate the case to the supreme court". She worked with me to create a defensive strategy that minimized my legal expense, and pressured my Ex to move forward. Although it took 2 years to get my Ex to sign the settlement, she did not get a dime more than our original settlement proposal, and my legal expenses ended up about what I was expecting. These thing never go smoothly and minor clerical errors happened on both sides, as to be expected in anything as complex and long running as these cases tend to be. However, if you stay engaged with your attorney, come in with a strategy, unwavering realistic objectives, and be active, not reactive, then this too will pass without costing an arm and a leg.,

Marina was great. She handled my divorce in 2001. She effectively counseled me to focus on the technical portion of the divorce versus the emotion. She probably saved me another $10,000 that many attorneys would have gladly allowed me to spend by responding to bs from my ex-wife's attorney. She w...as very accessible then (including her staff) and even now she is easily able to be reached when I have questions on some of the particulars of my divorce. I have recommended her services to others and they have all been very happy with her professionalism and knowledge of subject matter.

Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience as the other reviewers. Marina Korol and her staff (one of the reviewers) made many mistakes in and out of court, which cost me a lot of money. Her lack of attention to detail is inexcusable and extremely unprofessional. However, Marina does understan...d family law but may not get your case facts correct during your court hearing. I recommend that if you do retain this attorney, you do your due diligence in reviewing all her work and consistently ask questions, which will inevitably accrue high expenses due to the fact that you may spend a lot of time correcting her and her staff's mistakes. Which in my experience they will double bill for.
