Marina Korol

Marina is an excellent Family Law attorney. I highly recommend her. She is down to earth and can communicate with you in an honest and no nonsense manner. Divorce is very emotional, and her approach is very kind; yet firm and professional. Marina is very ethical in every manner. For example, I... was required to disclose every detail of my financials; because it was the law. The opposing party – did not disclose much, if anything at all. At the time it felt unfair. Why was I doing the right thing and the opposing counsel was not enforcing this law to her client? Well – it turns out, I’m very glad I was guided to follow the law. If every attorney was like Marina, divorce would be quick, easy, and inexpensive. But they are not. Marina is highly knowledgably about Family Law, and does extensive research independently. I have seen her sit in court, just for fun/educational purposes. She loves Family Law, and you can tell. She is well-spoken and passionate about the field. Her instincts are accurate. Not because of luck, but because of experience. Unfortunately, there are many poorly educated and/or non-caring Family Law attorneys practicing in this field; who will take advantage of you and your emotions. Marina will not. You can trust her, as a person and as an attorney.

LA Bar Association's referral service recommended Korol and Velen Office I was looking for a Russian speaking attorney who could represent me in both legal and Jewish courts. She/ he was supposed to deal with a bunch of documents that my ex-husband forged in Russia to avoid paying spousal support. ...Marina Korol seemed like a right match. Little did I know that she neither speaks Russian fluently, nor reads (was particularly important) or understands the language. Long story short, Marina Korol completely ruined my case. Not only did I lost everything due to poorly composed Settlement Agreement which she made me sign hastily. I also became а target for legal attacks on the part of my wicked ex-husband and his attorney. Тhat said, initially undeniable advantage had been entirely on my side. I would NOT recommend Marina Korol. She is unreliable and not diligent; with no proper sophistication, foresight and aggressiveness necessary to handle difficult cases. Korol doesn't have professional integrity; her only concern is to get you involved into pricey and lengthy procedures which turn out to be unnecessary and also detrimental to case. If you've already hired her, read carefully all documents and seek for a second opinion before signing anything important. Don't agree to reconciliation unless all your conditions are entirely met.

I highly recommend Marina to anyone in need of an honest and extremely knowledgeable family law lawyer. Marina helped through a very difficult family law matter and she not only kept me very well-informed but she made it much more bearable. She made herself available to me on the weekends and she rea...lly made me feel like she actually cared about my situation. She was very good about listening to what I wanted and respecting my wishes as opposed to pushing her ideas on me. She was far more knowledgeable than the opposing counsel and Marina was very good at keeping me in the loop as to her conversations with opposing counsel and any new developments in the matter. I would absolutely recommend Marina to my family and friends.
