My fiance and I will always and ONLY use Matthew Krupnick for all our legal needs!

My fiance Theadora and I first contacted Matthew after seeing him highlighted as some type of expert in family law on a local show on KCal Channel 9. We were so taken back with how refreshing he was, how young he looked, yet how confident and poised he was, that when it came time to get married, I go...t to use him as my attorney to draft our prenuptual agreement. He insisted that my fiance use a different attorney, and he offered us a few recommendations, which turned out great. The whole thing cost less than most lawyers wanted for the initial meeting! Now we both use Matthew as our lawyer whenever possible. I won't quote how much he charges us, because maybe he is giving a discount and would rather I not mention that (oops!). But he is so reasonable, and so generous with his billing practices, that we have him review every single contract in our lives no matter what it is regarding. He reviews, drafts, modifies, counsels us, warns us, or flat out tells us, "sorry guys, so long as I walk this earth, you will not be signing a B.S. contract like this. If anything goes wrong, even I won't be able to save you if this contract holds up!" He may look young, but he is sharper than any lawyer I have ever seen. I have seen him in court against lawyers with 50 years experience on him, and he takes them apart piece by piece like a game of chess. I would recommend Matthew Krupnick to anyone looking for one of the last few HONEST, kind, compassionate, experienced, aggressive, tactical, and intelligent attorneys out there. You won't be disappointed!

wow. I am sorry I am only now getting to some of these. You two are the kind of clients that make practicing law worth it! Your words are too kind, and you are both perhaps the nicest and most beautiful husband and wife team I have ever met. I know you are doing better than ever. How many kids you have now? Do I get to meet them? lol Feel free to respond privately as well. Thank you again for the kind words. I hope I can continue to live up to them. Matthew

Very Dissatisfied Client

I retained Matthew Krupnic for my Unlimited Civil Case for damages and he was awful. He never returned my communication with him for months at a time. He didn't file or defend my case properly so it was dismissed with prejudice because of his neglect with responding to the Defendents and to his clien...t, me. I am now trying to reopen my case and seek other council which is very difficult and almost impossible.

Veronica, I hope you have found peace and happiness in your life. I only wish the best for you as always. I do not even harbor ill will despite you filing a frivolous malpractice lawsuit against me (one that was quickly dismissed by your new lawyer). Life is too short. I hope you are well, and should our paths ever cross, I hope that we can put all of that behind us and shake hands. Sincerely, Matthew

No communication, total disappointment

I hired Krupnick to sue a dog owner after I was attacked on the street. He simply stopped returning messages and I never heard from him after signing a retainer agreement.... except for one email where he blamed his legal secretary for misfiling a bunch of clients. I don't know what happened in this ...case or if a settlement was paid. I am frustrated with the lack of communication and am in the process of filing a malpractice complaint with the state bar. Do not hire him, you would do better on your own than with this incompetent flake.

I should like to add that Spencer Moreno and I are dear friends again. He regrets having even made this review and has tried to remove it but AVVO has not been helpful in doing so. He and I both had some misunderstandings that lead to some temporary bad blood. Certainly, no malpractice was committed, and the State Bar found no wrongdoing either. Regardless, we have reconciled and are great friends to this day. Cheers Spencer!

A Unique Gem in a World of Sharks... Matthew saved me and my family.

I see I am not the only one to realize how special this man is.... but I must add that while I used to think lawyers were all about the money, I still feel that way! HOWEVER, I now know there are exceptions, and Matthew Krupnick is not only an exception, but exceptional. From constant contact (even ...on weekends, holidays, while he was on vacation, which in the three years I've known him has been one time only, and that was for a conference he goes to every year to continue to stay razor sharp as a litigator) from him through email, text message, telephone calls (usually on his cell, which for me was a first but with him he insisted to call his cell at any time day or night if I needed him), to the skills he demonstrated that got me a policy limits settlement that three prior attorneys (each of which had been practicing law for about 40-50 years each) told me was not possible, Matthew has changed my life and made a friend, a supporter, and a deeply thankful client out of me that nothing could ever change. I read the few negative reviews and scratch my head. I always saw clients hugging Matthew, and thanking him and praising him. It was literally like hew as their family. I guess there is always a disgruntled few in the bunch, but I would recommend Matthew to my mother, my children, my minister, and anyone else I wanted to help prevail in their legal battle and be put at ease the entire time knowing that they had he best lawyer in the world working for them. Matthew, I hope you don't mind me writing this, I know you are humble and shy about this stuff (p.s. you better have hung those awards up next time I come visit! This man must hold a world record for lawyer awards, I kid you not. Well deserved to say the least.) The world needs to know lawyers like you exist, and while I tell anyone I can, this site is great and I thought it was the perfect place to let the public know about you. So forgive me for embarrassing you, but you deserve it and you will live! haha You just keep fighting the good fight and please don't ever stop. The legal world would suffer a terrible loss if you ever stopped doing your thing. Your client and friend, (Mr. No Name Needed)

Thank you very much my friend for those kind and humbling words. I am equally happy that things have turned out so well every time we have worked together, and to hear how happy you are makes me smile from ear to ear. You are a great person and client, and I know you know this, but no matter what, please always call me if you have a legal question or need help in any area. You know phone calls or even meetings are on the house and if it is an area of law I don't feel comfortable advising you or your friends/family in, you know I would only refer the matter to a colleague that I trust as a person and attorney. Point is I will always be here for you. Thank you again for the amazing post. You made my day. Let's talk soon or grab a coffee. Cool? Matthew

Communication was and still is non-existent!

From beginning to end of the case for which Matthew Krupnick was retained, he was not very responsive to any means of communication. Most times I tried to reach out to him regarding the progress of the trial, I rarely ever got responses until weeks or even a month after the fact. I will not even ...attempt to consolidate 5+years of the case into a short story here. However I think it is important to point out that at the beginning of the case there was maybe Krupnick and his mother who is part of his firm working on the case, and then we had to retain what would be an additional 4 more attorney's brought on who all successively quit because of the lack of professionalism and preparedness that was shown by Mr. Krupnick. I tried very much to stay abreast of what was going on with the case and the new attorneys were a lot more communicative and let me know, but still nothing from Mr. Krupnick aside from the fact that these new attorneys would be coming on as co-counsel, which as I said did not last very long. There were several times when Matthew was not to be heard from by ANYONE and filing deadlines were missed for several of the other plaintiffs involved in the case and parts of their cases thrown out because Mr. Krupnick failed to file responses to the court in a timely manner. Fast forward to today, 5+ years since the case began and a settlement has been reached between both sides and not with the help of Matthew Krupnick. He has been sitting on settlement funds for over 6 months now that belong to me and at least two other plaintiffs. He has had these funds since June of 2014 and says he has been negotiating to handle any outstanding liens that each plaintiff incurred during the run of the case (i.e. therapists sessions by a therapist he has worked with in the past and referred all of us to). He came to us with an original compromise that the therapist wanted over 6 months ago, then after repeated attempts to reach him to find out how the negotiations were going, he came back to us 6 months later with THE EXACT SAME OFFER. In 6 months there was no movement at all. As of today's date only one person has received their settlement money, a plaintiff who became a close personal friend to Matthew Krupnick during the run of the case. Matthew has promised that he has completed the paperwork and will get it to us along with the settlement checks and this promise was made on December 15, 2014! I am not sure what he is doing holding on to money that he is not entitled to when he has given one of the plaintiffs there money, what is stopping him from doing the same for the rest? This is 100% accurate based on my recollection of how things went. I am not looking for anything more than to receive my settlement check and have been trying to do so for months and would LOVE to put an end to having anything ever to do with Matthew Krupnick. If you are considering hiring an attorney and Matthew Krupnick is on your list, please reread this post and think long and hard before you make your decision. Nowadays it is extremely difficult to trust an attorney enough to put into their hands something that is very meaningful to you and in some cases could mean your livelihood. If you are not willing to take such a huge risk, I applaud you and say do your research and hire someone who doesn’t have a detailed description of how this particular individual chooses to work, or more so not work, and how he chooses to treat his clientele when he so fancies to communicate with them at all.

"I endorse this lawyer. Matthew is one of the great young lawyers in Los Angeles whose fearlessness allows him to take on any matter and come out with justice. We recently reviewed evidence on a difficult auto collision case where a police officer in Hawthorne ran a red light, camera on, and caused a violent collision. Most lawyers would not take the case because it involves authorities and credibility. But Matthew fought hard, typical of him, and battled for fair compensation, and won. He works with the best lawyers in Los Angeles, Mike Alder, people who are leaders, and he'll be one himself soon!"

"I have worked with Matthew for over 6 years in the trenches of hard fought litigation. I often tell people about some of the skills Matthew has, or the accomplishments he has achieved at such a young age, and people often find it hard to believe. Not only is he one of the sharpest, most fearless and talented litigators I know, but he is loyal to those he loves to a fault. As a co-worker before he opened KRUPNICK & KRUPNICK (where I am now working with Matthew, his amazing mom and partner Vivian Krupnick, and the rest of our incredible staff), we worked together for close to 5 years doing litigation against the best firms and biggest and most hard to deal with insurance companies in the world. There was never a time that I needed help that Matthew didn't INSIST on helping me (Thankfully!). He taught me many things, both as a litigator, and as a person. He always saw the positive in me and made me believe I could accomplish annything. I am proud to endorse Matthew Krupnick and his firm."
