Cyrus S. Whittaker

Cyrus Whittaker is a California and Nevada–licensed trial attorney and the principal of Whittaker Law, a litigation-focused firm representing clients in employment law, tenant-rights, personal injury, and judgment enforcement matters. Known for his courtroom precision and tactical mastery, Cyrus is frequently retained by other attorneys and law firms as co-counsel or Of Counsel for complex, high-stakes litigation and late-stage trial strategy — particularly when a case demands experienced advocacy under pressure.

Since becoming licensed in 2016, Cyrus has tried more than 25 jury trials to verdict across both civil and criminal courts in California and Nevada. He has also achieved numerous seven- and eight-figure settlements through strategic litigation and negotiation, including a recent seven-figure settlement in a 13-plaintiff habitability and housing case that resolved within just a single year of filing. Cyrus’s litigation experience spans international firms (including at two major insurance defense firms), boutique trial practices, and government service. Before founding Whittaker Law, he served as a criminal prosecutor with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office (after graduating from the Academy of Justice trial training program), handling numerous jury trials through a postgraduate trial-fellowship program. A graduate of the UCLA School of Law and the University of Washington, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Mathematics, Cyrus blends analytical precision with practical courtroom experience. He has taught California and Federal Civil Procedure as an adjunct professor at the People's College of Law (2021 - 2022), is fluent in Spanish, and frequently represents monolingual Spanish-speaking clients in complex cases, ranging from substandard housing conditions to personal injury matters.
