Biography
As a native Angeleno, I know and love this melting pot of diverse peoples, cultures, languages, and experiences. My passion is helping people of all backgrounds resolve -- and prevent -- legal disputes in the most sensible and cost-effective manner. I especially enjoy working with lawyers who are launching solo or small firms aimed at bridging the justice gap. In that capacity, I direct the Los Angeles Incubator Consortium (LAIC) and am a co-founder of Hub for Innovative Law Offices (HILO), based in Washington, D.C.
I serve on the boards of the Friends of the Los Angeles Law Library and the Mexican American Bar Foundation Board, and am thankful to be surrounded by dedicated, compassionate and brilliant legal professionals who are working together to make the world a better place -- not just the wealthiest among us -- but for everyone by defending the Constitution and all of our rights and liberties guaranteed thereunder.

I was dealing with a private matter. I asked Maria for some help. I needed to know if I could legally claim a harassment type case against a very bothersome and spiteful neighbor. Her advice gave the pros and cons of dealing with this and my best course of action.
