At first I had considered representing myself for an unlawful detainer (eviction) case, but I am very glad I didn't. Even though I hired him last minute, Cyrus still came through to deliver a victory after going to trial. Each defense was clearly laid out and he used case law to support some of the less clearly defined details of particular laws that were relevant to our case. I could tell the other side was frustrated with their lack of maneuverability and I was very glad he was on my side. Cyrus came onto my eviction case (I'm the tenant of commercial property) a few days ago, and yesterday, I won my case! It was a very challenging complex commercial lease eviction case with many issues with the lease agreement. Cyrus found ALL of the issues, and during his closing argument, hit a home... run! After the verdict, Cyrus and opposing counsel had conversations with the jurors, and they all said they voted in my favor specifically because of small piece of data Cyrus insisted needed to be included into the jury verdict form. His insistence on that data, jurors were unable to compromise with, and they ruled in my favor. In addition, he received very good feedback from the jurors about his communication skills and his powerful impression he made on the jury. He's has only been in practice for a year, but you would not be able to tell.
