Replied last May 13, 2023It's reviews like this that prevent attorneys from participating on this forum, or only giving comments like, "You need to consult an attorney." How many attorneys bothered to give you ANY advice? Sure, my advice was very direct. But you need to know that the legal arena and court process have zero "patience and empathy" which is why I feel it is more important for people to understand the reality of their situation and options.

Replied last August 06, 2021Mr. Rodriguez has not consulted with me and is not one of my clients. Either he posted a question on AVVO and did not like my answer, or he is an adverse party in one of my cases and does not like how I am representing my client. Child support is set by state law -- the amount owed is based on income and has nothing to do with how much or how often a noncustodial parent sees their children. And I do fight to keep violent abusers from seeing their children unless visitation can be done in a safe manner.

Replied last May 02, 2017My response, based on the question and facts that were posted, was entirely accurate and can be reviewed by anyone who wishes to do so. The post was about how minimum wage imputation worked as between CA and NV, as the poster did not feel it was fair to have CA minimum wage imputed when living in NV as NV minimum wage is lower. It is truly unfortunate that people seeking free legal advice . . . where very few attorneys even bother to respond . . . cannot appreciate that the advice given is limited by the facts presented. It is not intended to be judgmental, but to explain how the legal system would view the situation as described. Further, this kind of site is not a substitute for consulting with an attorney to review your court orders and specific situation and circumstances, and was never intended to be such a substitute. It is because of narrow-minded and hostile reviews like this that so very few attorneys answer questions on this site. I ask you poster: How many attorneys answered your post? And how many gave you any real information beyond "you need to consult with an attorney?"

Child Support Lawsuit
I appreciate her answer as well as her honesty, but she made it sound like as if it was my fault that my biological father walked out on me when I was growing up. I don't think she understands what it feels like to deal with a dead beat parent, which was beyond insulting.
