I hired Rogena in March 2018 it is now Oct 2018 and my simple BK chapter 7 is still not filed :(... I've tried to give her the benefit of the doubt as she seemed friendly and knowledgeable at first but now I'm starting to regret using her services and hoping I've not been ripped off. She is very very... spotty in replying to emails, when you call her number no one ever answers and when she calls you her number is private. Latest email from her said something like she was maybe filling 1st or 2nd week in Oct... today started the 3rd week...I'm gonna email her tomorrow hopefully she'll respond...had I known it would be like this I would have NEVER used her. Initially she seemed really caring but she's since proven to be very unprofessional and a procrastinator. I understand she has more than just me as a client and why I've tried to be patient but my case should be done by now...I wish I would've read reviews no matter how nice she seemed...please think twice before going with her. I'm only posting anonymously because she's still over my case for now and I don't need any further problems. If my case isn't filed by end of October I'm firing her and hope I can get some money back (not holding my breath)

Paid legal fees for a simple BK case that was initiated over a year ago. This process should have been completed within 4 to 6 months tops. Case is still not filed and she doesn't give straight forward answers about dates and timelines. She is very unresponsive, does not return phone calls in a time...ly manner, nor respond to emails. Phone number on her website goes to voicemail 100 percent of the time. Most contact with her is via email, where weeks may go by before she responds. She took my money and the case is still not filed. Warning: Do Not Hire Her! If there was a negative zero stars she would would definitely qualify.

I wish I would have read these reviews before I paid my 1700 to retain her. It has been a couple of months and nothing has happen. I just tried to call her and the phone number is NOT working. I feel like I just got hustled out of my money. Trying to see if I can fire her and get my money back, becau...se she has not done anything for us. I keep emailing her to see what the next steps are and she has yet to respond. Don't make the same mistake and hire her ever.

I contacted her in March. Paid her $700.00 at an office in downtown Austin. Her ad said $1100.00 total. Suddenly it went up to $1400.00. Her explanation was my case was complicated. She didn't know that at the time she said it. I'm a pretty easy case really. She said she would file in early April, sh...e still hasn't filed and it's almost June.

Rogena Atkinson is a professional and personable attorney. I noticed some bad reviews, and wonder if the good folks who wrote them actually followed through on their end of the deal. I have to say that she followed through every step of the way in my bankruptcy case. She communicated faithfully with ...me via email and when the occasion called for it, she communicated via phone. She set up the needed meetings and was really supportive in times when I was very stressed out. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly and very easy to work with. I found that once I did my part, if I didn't badger her (I realized she had more clients than just me), she was very diligent in getting the job done. It was a pleasure working with her and I count her as a friend. Do not hesitate to hire Ms. Atkinson, she's the best!
