J. Chip Siegel is literally that elusive attorney that every person who finds themselves in a situation requiring criminal legal representation (which is one in five Americans) should have the good fortune to find. In my experience (and I have had previous legal dealings both personal, profession...al and unfortunately, criminal) I have had attorneys who took a retainer fee and knew they did not have a realistic chance of being of any help to me. I have dealt with attorneys who took my money and did not care what the outcome would be for me. Once they had my money their interest in my well-being diminished greatly. Two to fifteen years of my life was what I was told by the first attorney I hired. After two hearings I was told the outcome would not change no matter what. The sentence would be between two and fifteen years. Unbelievable. I was guilty of stupidity. I cannot put into words the emotional and mental devastation. His reputation precedes him. I owe him a debt of gratitude that can’t be repaid in dollars. I would have given every material possession and bartered everything I own to have my freedom. And to know this guy is out there fighting every day for ordinary guys who find themselves in very unordinary circumstances and who hasn’t become jaded by the stresses of his profession and an overburdened justice system is a miracle. I moved to Nevada at 58 years of age from another state. I am going to enjoy my retirement in this state and I am going to be a citizen who gives back something. I recently was charged with a DUI so I sought out a lawyer. I looked up a few different ones via internet and then I came across Mr. Siegel aka Chip Siegel I did a little research on his firm and I liked what I read. I made the call to set up an appointment to discuss my situation. His assistant o...r secretary was pleasantly nice I was surprised to say the least. Then I spoke with Chip and he was very helpful and gave me some insight what to expect. After speaking with him I felt a lot better about my situation. He suggested a few things to do before my court date that could be beneficial on my behalf. He was always there for me. Any questions I had he had an answer for me. In the end my case went better than I had imagined.
