Kurt A. Smith

I hired Kurt Smith to help me get custody of my two kids. My ex was withholding my kids. I called the police but they said they couldn't help me. Kurt Smith helped me get Joint Custody of both kids. Great lawyer. Great Law Firm. The staff was great too. The price was pretty good, too. Mr. Smi...th didn't gouge me like some lawyers some of my friends have hired.

I had a nasty divorce case. I needed to move out of state and didn't have the money to fight my husband. I agreed to leave my daughter with my husband. She was miserable. I hired Mr. Smith to fix it. He helped me prove that my daughter would be happier with me. Now she lives with me most of the... year. Great office. The whole office was great. They really made me feel like my case was important. Mr. Smith was really understanding about the fees too. He took a big chunk of money off of my case at the end.

I was in desperate need of a lawyer. I had a hearing set for 9:00 a.m. the next day, but stupidly waited until the last minute to try to get a lawyer. I did a google search for lawyers and found Kurt Smith's website where it stated that Mr. Smith was available at all times. I submitted a request t...hrough the website and crossed my fingers. I didn't have a lot of hope though because it was about 1:00 in the morning. I was shocked to receive a phone call about a half hour later from Mr. Smith himself. He gave me a phone consultation, thoroughly reviewed my case, and gave me an assessment of where I was in the case and what I needed from that point. I was so impressed, I retained him on the spot. But the best part was that when I showed up the next morning, Mr. Smith was right there waiting for me with a big smile. I was shocked to learn that he had stayed up the rest of the night and wrote all of the paper I needed to proceed in Court the next day, filed them with the Court, and then faxed them to the judge. I was even more amazed when I learned that the judge actually read Mr. Smith's papers, praised him for his hard work, and had fully considered everything Mr. Smith had to say both in his papers and in person. I was shocked when I walked out of the courtroom having won! I thought I was dead in the water. The judge ordered my ex to return the child to my custody immediately. Thanks Kurt! I couldn't have done it without you!

Before I hired Mr. Smith's office, my ex was sending me threatening emails and text messages trying to threaten me, harass me, and get back together with me depending on his mood. Mr. Sm...ith put a stop to all of that. He helped me get a protection order while the case was pending with the judge and at the end he helped me get a behavior order that is permanent. When my ex violated the behavior order, Mr. Smith took it to the judge and put a stop to my ex's bull sh*t. But the best part of hiring Kurt's office was how calm I felt once they stepped in. Kurt was fantastic the entire time and really helped me through a really tough time in my life. Lucky for me, I have not heard from my ex in a while. But if I do, I will be right back to Smith Legal Group! They are the best!!!

First let me start this review by saying I have one of the toughest cases to under take. Not only am I up against big names in the legal industry that do not pay legal fees- but are extremely experienced. I have retained some of the most well known senior attorneys in custody matters prior and NONE... of them have compared to Kurt Smith. Kurt is patient, kind, knowledgeable, grounded and genuine. He is not afraid of hard work and tough cases. Kurt catches things and views things other high- priced attorneys could not. I have unfortunately read my share of pleadings and Kurt's writing talent is superior to any attorney I have read. Not only is he the most ethical lawyer I have encountered- but his team Mark and Terri are amazing as well. Mark Anderson is an outstanding trial attorney. He is so well read and takes the time to know every detail and prepare. Terri, Kurt's paralegal is hard working, brilliant and dedicated. The amount of time and care she has devoted to my children and I's cause will never be forgotten and forever appreciated. This firm CARES about much more than taking your next retainer payment. They are the "good guys" in what has become a very lost and troubling family court system in Nevada.
