Stuart Swanson is a very competent and professional bankruptcy attorney. His fees are reasonable. When you start with him he enters all your information into his computer, let's you read it as he goes - he's totally open book about everything. You'll understand the process after the first meeting. He... explains the difference between Chap 7 and Chap 11. After that you can interact with him entirely via email - he's tech savvy enough to deal with that just fine. Bankruptcy is really just a technical process with a paper trail and a simple hearing. It's not that complicated and dealing with Stuart makes it that way. He may charge slightly more than others in the area- only slightly - but that is worth it. He's also a good guy, a nice person. He's dealing with many, many of these hearings each year, but he will know who you are and be able to respond in a timely manner no problem. He's be there for your hearing, side by side with you, and he tells you what to say and what not to say. I honestly can't recommend him enough. He's forthright, truthful, clear, nice, funny, patient. Hey, his office is not the fanciest in the world - it's a basic Skokie office.
