Disappointed Client
After interviewing several lawyers I decided to retain Kelly Ann Booth. I was impressed by how aggressive she was--though the retainer fee was steeper than other lawyers. I liked her personality and felt she would represent me well. That faded over time as she showed up late to my initial hearing. Sh...

Withdrew as Counsel Without any Notification. Side Stepped by Due Process and Kept My Fee of $10,000
I Hired Kelly to represent me back in 2011 to represent me, but it wasn't in only three short weeks, I was picked up on a warrant. Kelly was suspose to notify the county that I would voluntarily turn myself into the county jail for processing, put up bailbondsman and return home the same day. ...
Sometimes we have clients who have a hard time accepting the realities of their case, and have unrealistic expectations. We fight hard for our clients. And the vast majority of our clients are incredibly satisfied with our results. That is because we set high goals and shoot for PREMIUM results in cases, and we almost always achieve them! That was the case with this client, actually. Because of a conflict of interest that arose in the case, I had to hand the case off. I made sure the client was in very good hands with his new attorney, and even got the new attorney to greatly discount his rate to represent him throughout the rest of his case. In fact, the client's case was resolved by his new attorney on the plea agreement that I had originally proposed. The client was very happy to take the greatly reduced plea offer, and was able to avoid going to prison and avoided having to register as a sex offender. This client told me he had no problems going with the new attorney I set him up with, and said he looked up the new attorney and that he was a "badass." More than four months later, the client called me up and demanded that I give him back all the money that I had earned fighting his case for the previous four years. He threatened that if I did not give him back all his money, then he would "smear me all over the internet." What this client didn't realize is that I have represented hundreds of clients who are very pleased with our service. When they heard about what this client was saying, they took to the internet to express their experience so that potential clients can know that they are in great hands when they hire our firm. I always seek to handle any disputes that may ever arise. Unfortunately, in this case, I just refused to bend to what appeared to me to be an extortion. We stand behind our work, and we would love to represent you or your loved one.
"I endorse this lawyer. I have known Kellie Ann Booth for several years and worked closely with her on some complex post-conviction remedies issues, and found her to be hard working, competent and caring."
"Ms. Booth is one of the finest attorneys in our community. She is respected by both her peers and judges. Her skills at litigating the small technicalities of a case are unparalleled and she is able to identify holes in the prosecution's case that many less experienced attorneys often miss. As a fellow criminal defense attorney I would recommend her to any who asked."
"One of the absolute best. Exceptional attention to detail, service next to none. I endorse this lawyer."
"Kelly and I worked on parallel appeals before the Utah Supreme Court. She did a fantastic job for her client, and I was very impressed."
"If you want an attorney that will fight for you with every ounce of intellect, passion, and hard work, then hire Kelly Ann Booth. I have worked with Kelly Ann on numerous high stakes matters, and her results are absolutely incredible. I recommend her without any reservation to defend you in criminal court."
"Kelly is a knowledgeable and skilled attorney. She has a creative legal mind that she uses to her clients' benefit. I endorse her work as an advocate."
"Not only is Kelly Ann a brilliant attorney and a dedicated defense lawyer, but she is also personable and very good to work with. She treats her clients and other attorneys with consideration and she is highly respected among judges, prosecutors, and other lawyers. I highly recommend her."
"I have known Kelly over the past couple of years. She is always willing and able to help other lawyers with their cases. Kelly takes on very difficult cases and defends them with her heart and sole. Kelly has earned the reputation of being zealous, thorough, and determined in defending her cases. She cares for her clients and works hard to get them the best results."

Fully Stayed Suspension and Probation issued in UT, 2017
updated on 04/10/2017Stayed suspension/probation means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. This type of suspension means the attorney has been suspended, but that the suspension is placed on hold (and ultimately removed) if the attorney complies with certain requirements. In this case the Bar also monitors the lawyer's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
