Teresa helped me navigate tricky waters through my divorce proceedings after I fired my previous attorney that gave me poor and incorrect legal advice. It had left me in... a financial hole and vulnerable in a stressful divorce proceeding, and I hired Drexler Law to clean up the mess. Teresa took every bit of time to walk me through the process, lend a friendly ear when I needed to vent, listened and addressed every concern and question I had. I retained Teresa to represent me for my child support case. The case was initially filed based upon the claim that retroactive child support should be levied due to a voluntary change in custody, which I contended was not true. Teresa was very creative in planning her strategy and in her thinking of... how to highlight the jurisdictional issues that were in my favor. She listened carefully to my suggestions and worked with me to incorporate my needs into our filings with the court. I ALWAYS felt that Teresa was my strong advocate. She was honest about setting expectations for the outcome while maintaining a positive attitude. She paid great attention to detail and we went into the courtroom well prepared for the proceeding. I watched her representation of another client prior to selecting her as my attorney. Initially, I was confused by her questions and her presentation until I realized that she was very effectively weaving the fabric of her client's case without blatantly telling the judge what he should decide. I think that is a very effective method, at least for this particular judge. During my proceeding, she did an absolutely fantastic job. Her exceptional skill, demeanor and professionalism were unquestionably the reason that the judge decided in my favor on every issue that was presented. Her preparation and quick thinking during the hearing completely obliterated opposing counsel's arguments. The judgement in my case denied a huge retroactive child support payment to my former wife and ordered all the counseling and co-parenting that I had requested. I will be forever grateful to Teresa for doing such a wonderful job. Her efforts have essentially changed my life for the better.
