I retained Teresa to represent me for my child support case. The case was initially filed based upon the claim that retroactive child support should be levied due to a voluntary change in custody, which I contended was not true. Teresa was very creative in planning her strategy and in her thinking of... how to highlight the jurisdictional issues that were in my favor. She listened carefully to my suggestions and worked with me to incorporate my needs into our filings with the court. I ALWAYS felt that Teresa was my strong advocate. She was honest about setting expectations for the outcome while maintaining a positive attitude. She paid great attention to detail and we went into the courtroom well prepared for the proceeding. I watched her representation of another client prior to selecting her as my attorney. Initially, I was confused by her questions and her presentation until I realized that she was very effectively weaving the fabric of her client's case without blatantly telling the judge what he should decide. I think that is a very effective method, at least for this particular judge. During my proceeding, she did an absolutely fantastic job. Her exceptional skill, demeanor and professionalism were unquestionably the reason that the judge decided in my favor on every issue that was presented. Her preparation and quick thinking during the hearing completely obliterated opposing counsel's arguments. The judgement in my case denied a huge retroactive child support payment to my former wife and ordered all the counseling and co-parenting that I had requested. I will be forever grateful to Teresa for doing such a wonderful job. Her efforts have essentially changed my life for the better. She is a magnificent attorney, but also a very nice and caring person, which is important when you are entrusting someone with such a huge aspect of your future. I would recommend Teresa wholeheartedly to anyone needing representation in a divorce or custody hearing. You simply will not find a better attorney!

I hired Teresa for custody and support issue. I feel disappointed with my experience enough to share. It's easy to lose perspective in emotionally charged custody battles. But at times, it seemed she was prioritizing maintaining her reputation with the judge over making applicable legal argument...s on my behalf, even seeming to advocate for my ex at times. I perceived from her feedback that she partially adopted my ex's ungrounded malicious slander as fact. She proposed legal strategy on financial support that even a legal novice like myself knew to be unsupported by law, only to later discover that fact through her research, all at my expense. She forgot several major filing deadlines, which hurt my case and created significant additional stress and expense. My biggest disappointment came when she failed to show up for several months-long-scheduled court hearings, sending unprepared cohorts in her place. I don't think she's a mean person, and I don't know if it was a competence issue, if she simply didn't care much about my case, or if she had some personal issues going on. Obviously, others have had better experiences. But dealing with a complicated, stressful, high-stakes custody / support matter, I was in desperate need of a reliable, detail-oriented, knowledgeable advocate, and I was disappointed. You may have better luck, but I ended up finding another attorney at nearly half the cost who helped me win my case. Good luck.
