Giving 5 out of 5 stars in every field usually indicates a lack of thought and sincerity. This is not the case with Gebhardt, Emerson, Moodie, and Bonanno. They really are that good! Given the caliber of their work and the results achieved - they deserve 10 out of 10 stars!!! It has been said that... "everything happens for a reason." Erika Gebhardt took over this case in the middle from another wonderful attorney who laid a very strong foundation, but was temporarily unable to continue practicing law due to a medical issue. Erika never once rested on her laurels and took the easy path. In fact, she worked passionately and tirelessly to re-frame my case to a point that the end result was more than I could ever hope for. To be honest, I was a stubborn and difficult client with a complicated case that included my child being the victim of abuse, neglect, and endangerment by the other parent. My goal was to save my child from this situation and protect her going forward. I was obviously worried and stressed, so I tried to control the steps and outcome of my case. Erika was firm, but also patient with me. She helped me realize that I needed to step back and trust her to handle everything. When I would rehash old issues, Erika redirected me to stay focused and not wasted money on things that were already discussed. She also helped me realize that settling would enable us to protect protect my child even more than going to Court. To be very clear, I am certain that I would have ended up with a similar outcome had we gone to Court. When it came to dealing with opposing counsel, Erika tried to work with them and cooperate from day one. When they refused, she was consistently more assertive, more professional, more skilled, more determined, and better prepared. Every step of the way it was clear that I had the better attorney. While I do not mean to be inappropriate, it always seemed like she "owned" opposing counsel and was able to settle with an iron clad parenting plan that protects my child and myself until my child is an adult. Make no mistake, Erika Gebhardt does not get intimidated or pushed around! The fact that Erika is a mother herself was evident. I felt like she put her heart and soul into this case and protected my child like her very own. Nothing seemed to ever rattle Erika or crack her confidence. When I was subjected to threats against my safety and life, Erika calmly and confidently assured me that one of her partners is one of the best restraining order attorneys in the state and we would effectively utilize those resources if and when it became necessary. Again, she refrained from spending any of my money when not absolutely necessary. As I said, my case settled better than I could have ever hoped for and Erika Gebhardt was worth every penny! Now, when I encounter other parents who need a family law attorney, I refer them to her without hesitation or reservation. I tell them she is tough, fair, passionate, and has amazing attention to detail. Her advice is ALWAYS spot on and she has NEVER steered me wrong. Even though my case is settled for the foreseeable future, I will keep Erika on retainer until my child is 19 years old.
