I am a founding partner with Broxterman Alicks McFarlane specializing in high conflict cases, non-traditional families (including same-sex couples), international and Hague cases, parenting time and decision-making disputes, and cases involving complex financial issues. I became a lawyer after clerking for the Honorable James C. Klein in Boulder County District Court, an experience which was invaluable to my development as an attorney. I have been honored as a SuperLawyer Rising Star for the past five years, in addition to being recognized as Best Lawyers and Barristers Best. I have also worked on cases with complex financial issues including trusts, venture capital and pre-IPO investments, pensions, retirement and stock accounts, and buyouts of business ownership interests. Before law school, I worked as a legal assistant in the Antitrust Department of the international law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom assisting with large-scale mergers being investigated by the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, and the European Commission. During law school, I worked for the international trade law firm of Neville Peterson and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, both located in Washington, D.C.
