When I first consulted with Margot, I was terrified and felt trapped in my marriage. Margot eased my anxiety, walked me through every step of the process and offered an incredible, consistent amount of support. Margot took a high conflict case and handled every obstacle ethically, efficiently and wit...h so much grace, even when the opposing counsel targeted her directly. I’ve never had a voice and working with Margot gave me one. I am safely out of an abusive relationship with what I need to move forward in rebuilding my life and I do not have to fear that my ex and his accessibility to money will keep me in court until our children are adults. I don’t know that I’ll ever find the exact words to express my gratitude for Margot and the entire team at BAM. That said, I’m so proud to have BAM walking beside me in my journey to rebuild my life and give my kids the peaceful, happy childhood they deserve.

Margot and her team met with me and I felt at ease the moment I entered the office. In my situation there were were years of history that I needed to share pri...or to determining the best way forward. At the end of our consultation, it was evident that the team had been able to comprehend a very complicated situation, digest and provide options forward. Their investment in my situation, regardless of my choice to retain their services, stood out to me. I have hired lawyers in the past to assist me and have never felt the way I did when leaving Margot's office. I felt supported, validated and for the first time in years had hope that I would find a resolution. I retained Margot and her team limited scope, to review and help prepare documents to modify Parenting plan and Child Support. I provided the documentation that I had been working on and they were able to take that information (25 documents) and compile it into a package to submit to the court. I am impressed across the board, but her teams ability to retain detail and ensure all content was included with minimal engagement with me, is something I know sets them apart from other firms. If you are looking for a team that knows Family Law inside and out, and is willing to support and guide you through what is possibly the hardest time of your life, I have 100% confidence that BAMFAM, specifically Margot and her team is the right choice.

I hired heather Broxterman and she pawned the case off to Margot Alicks. What should have been a simple case for modification and child support, because we already stipulated to an increase in parent time, turned out to be a complete disaster. The entire case preparation was 30 minutes in the phone... and I never met Margot until the trial. Heather showed up when I filed a subpoena against the firm in actions proceeding their failed case. Margot stated numerous times we had the case won and spent more time texting her office than paying attention to the trial. All in all - a complete failure Would not recommend this firm in any case

"My experience working with Margot Alicks and BAM Family Law was nothing short of exceptional! I was referred to this practice by an acquaintance who raved about them. My case was seeking, as an alienated parent, a fair custody arrangement with an incredibly challenging co-parent. I am so thankful fo...r the referral as it was likely the saving grace to the entire case. I ended up in the BAM office after working with and hitting a wall with another lawyer first. I found myself 5 months and nearly $22,000 into litigation and it seemed as though we were headed for total disaster. The first attorney was argumentative, fairly out of touch, overly expensive, and presented a very bleak outcome as if I didn't have a shot at a victory. Suffice it to say, I needed and deserved a better option, the stakes were just too high. I met with Margot as well as one other lawyer who came highly recommended. The choice to hire Margot was crystal clear. Margot works seamlessly with another fantastic lawyer, Heather Broxterman, and a great paralegal. The synergy of this team was very impressive. It was relieving to meet with a team that was committed, sharp, and yet light hearted and very optimistic. Did I mention optimistic? What a breath of fresh air in the midst of an incredibly stressful time. My case was solid and it was obvious that the missing link was having the right representation. The team took over, was very efficient, communicative, fair with billing, and an absolute pleasure to work with. No settlement could be reached with the other side, trial was messy, and there was even a ridiculous appeal after the initial ruling. In total the litigation went on for the better part of a year. I liken this experience to trudging through mud. Despite the challenges our outcome was excellent! I basically got exactly what I had petitioned the court for on all levels. I can't imagine a life without my daughter or for a sweet child to be fatherless for no good reason.
