Biography
Lauren is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Colorado and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado School of Law where she was elected to the Dean’s List. During her time in law school, she served as the Editor in Chief of the Journal on Telecommunications and High Technology Law. She also competed in the Carrigan Cup Mock Trial Competition, placing among the top four teams.
Upon graduation, Lauren served as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Andrew MacDonald in Colorado’s 20th Judicial District in Boulder, Colorado where she garnered expertise to the inner workings of Colorado’s criminal and civil judicial systems. She learned first-hand what Judges are looking for, and the specific skills required to excel in the courtroom.
Lauren later served with the Denver District Attorney’s Office in the Family Violence Unit, as well as the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office, strongly advocating for victims of domestic violence and against those who would do their partners and children harm.
She then dedicated her focus to divorce and family law as a senior associate at a Denver law firm. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her husband Levi, their children Morgan and Geist, and their golden retrievers Gus and Reagan.

Not recommended
Lauren Shepherd ignored pretty much every request or question I had regarding my case. She was cold, uncaring and inattentive. Look elsewhere if you need a family law attorney.
