CLIENT REPRESENTATION: I am passionate about helping people find solutions and resolve issues so they can reach agreement during what is typically the most difficult time in their lives. At the same time, I understand and prepare for the fact that in certain cases, it's necessary to go to court and have a judge make decisions about issues that simply cannot be agreed upon. When going to, and preparing for, court, I aggressively represent my client's interests so the best results can be obtained. I pride myself on being completely prepared for court as there are always surprises that come up. It's also crucial that my client is prepared and knowledgeable about what is going to happen in court so that his/her testimony is on point, truthful, accurate and credible.
My practice has been focused on family law in Boulder, Denver, Adams, Broomfield, Jefferson, and Larimer Counties for over 30 years. I have been representing clients and performing mediations and arbitrations during that time. I understand how difficult it is for people going through the dissolution and post-dissolution process and will tailor my representation of you, or your mediation or arbitration process accordingly.
During my many years of practice, I have been able to settle most cases without causing unnecessary damage to future relationships. I have an undergraduate degree in Finance. I understand and am comfortable dealing with complex financial issues that often arise in cases.
MEDIATION: In all family law cases, whether initially, or in subsequent proceedings, Colorado courts require that parties mediate before seeking relief in court. I have been mediating and arbitrating family law cases for over 20 years. My approach tends to be focused and to the point, while at the same time understanding that these are emotionally difficult times for people, and sensitivity to all that is going on is very important. I listen carefully to what the parties are saying and feeling, and work to help them reach agreements that are in the best interests of their families. It's always a great risk, financially and otherwise, to present important, life altering decisions to a judge who may only hear the parties speak for a few hours before making these important decisions for the parties.

Guy is the epitome of integrity and his rectitude is evident from start to finish. More than a seasoned attorney, Guy is a friend who has an instinct to listen when appropriate, yet one can always count on him to talk one off the ledge. I am beyond grateful for his guidance, support, expertise and ...

Guy Greenstein was the best choice I could have made in terms of representation for my divorce. His billing policies were more than fair and I never felt like there was a stopwatch running every time we’d speak regarding my case. His retainer was very reasonable and his up front estimates were dead...

Guy Greenstein is an incredibly talented attorney with a knowledge base far beyond just that of divorce and child custody law. Furthermore, his innate understanding of human psychology was critical in his strategy to negotiate my complicated and contentious case. He not only was a huge comfort to me...

I started working with Guy four years ago. Guy has been very thoughtful and has given me great advice. There were times when some of my decisions would have been driven by the emotions around my divorce but retrospectively, I was very lucky to have Guy there as he helped me to stay focused on the k...

I hired Guy as my divorce attorney after firing a different one who was much higher priced, much less responsive, and gave me some poor advice that could have ended up costing me thousands because of his lack of attention to the details of my case. Guy was reasonably priced, was responsive, paid a...
"Guy and I have worked as opposing counsel on several cases over the past 15 years and we have always managed to find creative solutions for our clients and their families. For me, Guy is more than an opposing counsel - he is one of my top 'go to' attorneys when I've got a particularly difficult case or unique fact pattern. Guy is smart, straightforward and committed to effective problem solving. His business experience is particularly helpful for cases which involve multiple income streams. I endorse Guy as an attorney and have every confidence his mediation skills are equally impressive."
"Guy is an excellent lawyer who spends the time and energy to get the best results for clients. He is thoughtful, intelligent and experienced. A great choice for family law!"
"I wholeheartedly endorse this lawyer. A brilliant, trustworthy and highly respected attorney in the legal community."
"Guy is very knowledgeable on family law, and more importantly, the legal culture in domestic courtrooms. In addition, he is very down to earth. I would recommend his services."
"It is great having Guy back as part of the family lawyers in Boulder. Guy is trustworthy, responsive, and very knowledgeable about the law in family law cases. Guy is a good listener, a creative thinker, and is looking for solutions to problems that present themselves during cases. Guy also has a terrific sense of humor."
